Just watched the season finale! Wow i never needed a negan more than now, some good wide shots in that episode showing off the fitting of his outfit too.

Does he have 2 belts? We def have to make sure the cartridge belt sits "John Wayne" style (low to the hip) as this picture you've shared.

I took it as utter shock at the strong attitude of Rick and not knowing how to react when he doesn't just bow down again, then the negan facade coming back on to show his troops he wasn't bothered.
