I received the new accessories today. I did not have time to sand off the support remnants. I think the larger size for the tape recorder and slight curve on the badge made a big difference. The watch fits snugly on a standard TT wrist.

I am still waiting for the clear, laser-cut panels to go on the watch and recorder. The test cuts shipped late last week.

I have started on the trenchcoat. I am trying to perfect the collar before I show anything.

These are looking really good. Thanks for the response. Can't wait to see the coat[emoji1419]

Sorry, for the lack of updates, I continue to make incremental progress on the various pieces.

I really want to push my skills and deliver a trenchcoat that looks respectable next to work like Yunsil or Kato.

I had hopped to have the parts other than the trenchcoat up for order, but the laser cutter company completely botched the order for the clear pieces, so I have to find someone else.

I'm now exploring a custom metal cutting stamp, one I could strike with a hammer to get a perfect cut.

I'm going to buy an Exacto razor saw and at least try doing the tape deck by hand. The watch is small enough that drops of Future (clear acrylic may make a decent watch case).

This is probably a case of my perfectionism grinding things to a halt. I'll try to not let perfect be the enemy of good.

It is understood that the “perfectionist” is coming out and personally I wouldn’t want you to rush and put something out that is not special. Please, please though, don’t ask for the money like the week before Xmas or something[emoji23]

Don't worry. Once I figure how to put these final two pieces together, I won't have any high pressure time limits.

Just wondering about this coat and stuff. I’m almost done with my Coop and it crossed my mind. Thanks in advance for any updates.

Did you ever consider using a clear resin that you just put over the windowed area? Once cured it would look like a plastic cover. Pebeo Gedeo makes a specific glazing resin that's meant for just top coating type applications so it could be perfect for this. Just a thought!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've considered a solution of filling the hole with a liquid resin, especially on the watch.

I don't think that will work with the tape deck window.

I bought a Cricut Maker cutting machine, but am waiting for a knife blade attachment that can cut thicker materials.

I never imagined it would be so hard to do these windows with nice edges.

I'll let everyone know when I get it done. My own figure is sitting unfinished too.

Updates:

I am still waiting for Cricut to release the blade I need to cut these out. I have been consistently told that laser is not suitable for such small parts. I'll just have to machine cut each window and then hand finish the sides.

My mother (who is a jewelry artist) suggests an inexpensive way to cast the lapel in real metal!

I'm trying to think of a way to consistently paint the watch face.

I will continue working on the trenchcoat as time permits. I want it to look Yunsil-grade.
