Re: WOLVERINE by Tony&Ashkan (UPDATE PG15)

Im still doing the Jim Lee version folks and Im not trying to prolong the figure but stuff keeps coming up, work and woman slow everything down.

The thighs, calves, boots, and shoulder guards are done for this version of Wolverine. Gloves and head can all be done within a week or two but Im doing all the casting for the Millers, and the other Wolverine custom with Tony and Salvador. I also keep getting orders for other stuff and I love painting more then anything else so I do that for my personal..... therapy I guess. . I wish I could freeze time.

Re: WOLVERINE by Tony&Ashkan (UPDATE PG15)

ETA on the Jim Lee head???? All I can say is soon since Im almost done with my orders. As you can see from the pic the middle figure will be my Wolverine body. It is a TTM19. The far right figure is a standard TTM19 body un modded.

Re: WOLVERINE by Tony&Ashkan (UPDATE PG15)

Hey Tony, I posted it on one of the threads before but maybe you guys didn't see it. With the brown costume, I've always seen the "yellow" as more "tan" in colour. Not a criticism - just want it to be the best Wolverine ever!

"Costume #4: Brown and Tan First Appearance: X-MEN #139 (1980) When asked by Nightcrawler about the reason for his latest outfit change, Logan aptly replied, "Why not?" Ditching the shoulder pads, tiger stripes, and bright colors of the original costume, John Byrne designed a more muted, intimidating look for Logan. Swapping blue and yellow for brown and tan proved the most significant change, as the darker colors more closely matched the personality of the character and resulted in a costume that struck a chord with fans. Among all his costumes, the brown-and-tan would go on to have the longest continuous run, as it lasted until Wolverine switched back to his blue-and-yellow duds in 1991. But this costume has not been forgotten, and its brief return in WOLVERINE: ORIGINS brought much rejoicing from fans. "The way I see it, the blue and gold outfit is his uniform—it's the X-Men colors" says WOLVERINE: ORIGINS and DARK WOLVERINE writer Daniel Way. "That's for official business. The brown costume, however, is for personal matters, and that's what ORIGINS is all about, so I thought it fit. That, and it's my favorite. Don't know why that particular color scheme looks so bad-*** on him, but it just does

I agree with you, and yes, that's the color I remember as well. As for final suit, since it'll be very exclusive low quantity, we decide to make one of a kind suit color base on what we feel is right : )

Depends on the artist, some are tan, some are yellow, some are even orange. And the brown are also not brown, burgundy or red most of the time. Don't worry too much, we got it ;)

Re: WOLVERINE by Tony&Ashkan (UPDATE PG15)

Hey Tony and Ashkan. Am I on the list for this piece. I know I'm on the wolverine by Salvador list, but not sure about this Jim Lee one. If I'm not on the list, is it too late? I can never have enough wolverines. Thanks, "bub"
