We are currently looking at ways to print this thing...The engines will be printed separately from Rocket Case so we can print in different materials to give it a real feel. Just to be clear...this is my model and not FULLMETALS...he is not involved in this project...Don't want to give false hope to folks.
Now if anyone here has any connections or leads where we can take 3D models to get printed in metal (and printed in good quality), please shoot me a PM..any suggestions would be helpful.
The Fan in the center will also be a separate piece

Vision Proto does some really good work. You could write to Paul at [email protected].

I don't think there is an option to print in metal, but stainless steel (infusion) or alumide is definitely an option.

Thanks J! I was actually looking into Shapeways, but seeing their metal test prints, it looks like the lasers leave lines in the models...would want the rocket pack to be a smooth polished finish.

I got the "Female" Rocketeer helmet off eBay! It is a direct recast of the Medicom helmet, except the paint job is actually better than it was on the 2.5 head haha.

I can't wait to see how the sculpts turn out... The helmet could certainly stand to be a hair bigger than the medicom helmet.

That medicom helmet is definitely fuggin small! 3d models are looking good. Seriously can't wait for this to become reality I can hold in my hand

Of that is a tough one! His gloves are really specific. Does anyone have suggestions on this front?

I am already looking to spend 400-500 on this project not really wanting to spend 300 on the Medicom 2.0 just for the hands.
