Re: Hydeous - [Paint Work]

You're welcome mate.

I suppose that was because your question was directed towards a commission related. My guess is he would be bound by his contract against freelance work, and he must be getting a million such emails. However, I'm dead sure he won't hesitate to share tips.

I know you're based in Asia and FamCon may be a little too out of reach, but have you thought of reaching out to Nathan ? He drops cues in his thread pretty often. Trace back a couple of hundred pages :lol , it's all in there.

Re: Hydeous - [Paint Work]

:lol

Nah I'm serious! I know you're a TDK nut like me and you can see that in the paint up. You haven't just painted him white: you've painted him with Ledgers actual white make up scheme.

Can't wait to see this finished. You take commission?

I agree. There's something about The Joker makeup here that's slightly different than any other painted ones by other artists.. Can't figure out what it is but it's definitely lifelike and movie accurate.

Re: Hydeous - [Paint Work]

I think it's because it took me a few days to get the paint correct. Whereas some of the more veteran painters can take a shorter amount of time to paint these as they have better experiences.

Thanks.

The first couple of pics I posted was when I was trying to figure out how the paint work / react, how long they dry etc. I don't think anyone would wanna see them anymore since they were quite hideous literally. :lol

Thanks :D

I'm working on these for the past few days now, I think I still need 2-3 more days till I'm done with them.

But I will have more soon, some of the ones I'm very keen on painting are the BBKill's Connery Bond and Rainman's Doc Holliday which are on the way to me now.

Re: Hydeous - [Paint Work]

Wow! MJ's looks like a powder cake now.

Your hardwork sure is paying off. :rock

Re: Hydeous - [Paint Work]

That's because Ive only had to do 2 of these currently, while MJ prolly had to do like 40 or 50 at least. :lol

Had he had been given enough time, he'd prolly paint it better than mine. After all he sculpted these. But thanks man. :rock

Update:

Working on hair now, these are a chore :panic:
