Exciting updates! I worked on the 3D model and made some significant changes that maintain the structural integrity and look but reduces materials needed. This means, cost wise, I should be able to easily hit the $50 price point I was shooting for and, I'm almost certain I will be able to get it even lower than that! I'm going to do some more work tonight to see specifically how low I can get but good news overall:yess:

Cool I'll put you on the list. Just an update on things: everything is going very well with these but I had a small snafu with the initial print. I have to make a very small change to the 3D design in order for these to be printed properly. Good news is the design change will not affect the appearance of the umbrella, it just has to do with putting in a proper spru to connect different pieces together during the process. Long story short doing it this way keeps the cost down, which is good for everyone!
I am also going on vacation starting this Friday so there will be a bit of a break in my updates. My plan is to change the 3D design and get the prints done so they're ready when I get back.
As I mentioned I was able to keep the cost down more than expected (my initial goal was $50), so barring any weirdness or hiccups with the small 3D model changes, we are looking at only ~$40 shipped for an umbrella (for US, international will have to be a bit more to cover the more expensive shipping).

. As I said I am heading on vacation for a week and a half so there won't be many updates until the end of October. However once I have the updated print in hand I will update the thread and send out messages. I am likely going to start with a batch of 10 but we can easily extend that as a second run if we overfill the list or increase the size if way more people jump on. Thanks, guys!

With the exception of the cloth and the metal skeleton here are all the parts that go into each umbrella, painted. Need to let everything dry and cure and I hope to have an assembled, final product umbrella by tomorrow!
