Thanks everyone for the kind words.
The pics are actually another repainted sculpt. Yes, the mustache was too thick, the hair too dark and I changed the eyeliner to a subtle shadowing instead, everything else is the same. I tweaked everything you guys told me was innacurate, I reviewed them carefully.
The mistakes I made was that I used a black and white picture as a reference for the mustache and eyeliner, and since black color contrasts a lot with the white I was misguided by the picture, it was also 4am when I painted it so I was not fully aware of that fact.
Also, I refunded back because of 2 reasons:
1- I was contacted by Yunsil's co-worker, she has a LOT on her hands right now, she fell behind with some work from other artists because of her moving, so I will have to wait until I have a definite date.
2- Paypal has a "60 days refund period" after the 60 days had passed if I wanted to refund I would have to cover the fees myself, and I am not economically ready for that.
SO, since I didn't know when would Yunsil contact me back with a date, I prefered to refund back, just in case. She told me that around January 2014 she'll email me with her plans, THEN I'll ask for the deposits for those still interested again if she has a solid date.
Sorry for the mess, but it was a quick decision I had to make, it also gives me less pressure as I was thinking on the deposits sitting on my paypal account all day. Most of you know that I hate to keep money that's not mine in my hands, that is why I always prefer to get paid once I am finished doing a project, less pressure on me and people can trust me that I would not dissapear with their cash, if anything were to happen, you guys are safe. I had to collect deposits because it's Yunsil's, not mine.
Anyways, sorry for the wall of text. The proto figure is going to be ready soon so you guys have a notion of how he finally looks, I'll snap a few pics.
He is going to be at a convention I was invited to in a few days, so I am excited about it, glad I am not taking the failed painted sculpt to it and for that I must thank you guys for pointing that out.
