Alright, I got pics and a question. Pics first!

My question regards the inner nose guards. They are gonna be a bit fragile
and may or may not have to be removed. My question is, since they are on the "hidden" side would it be cool if we made them very thick, like a triangle so there was no free are between the glasses and the guards if we had too or would that change the aesthetics too much for when they are being held and not worn?
-Rick :)

I'm fine with them being thick. Sounds like a plan, Rick!

They're looking awesome already!

I think only how they look when being worn is important. So far so good!

Hey Rick thanks for taking my suggestions into consideration! Regarding the nose guard I think going thick is a-ok too. These look fantastic can't wait!

Im not quite sure what you mean. Could you perhaps make a quick photo edit to show what it would look like?

I think he means that, say, in that top-down view of the glasses in the bottom right of the picture the nose guards will appear like a triangle. They'll be solid rather than looking like they do there with only a thin (breakable) connection point to the glasses.

I'm still slightly concerned at how they'll 'look' on the figure. I haven't tried it in a while but if memory serves the MMS02 gargoyles do 'fit' the new heads - they just look ridiculously large, they bury his nose. I think these need to be the same vertical dimensions as the MMS117 T2 sunglasses so as not to do exactly the same thing and look overly large on the face. Currently I've got the T2 sunglasses on my Movie poster figure and they look great sizewise except they simply aren't the exact correct style. So it seems to me thats what we need. That size - but gargoyles.

i don't mind how they look like inside :)
especially because i know how easy those things break when they are "made properly".
i only know that those lifters should be there for sure, because i broke mine, and glasses look stupidly without being rased above face and nose.

Id say going that route with the nose bridge is a really good idea, I do think aesthetically the nose bridge being present looks better from the front. and as said him wearing them and looking right is what really matters!

I'd think with that adjustment we would be all set for a proto print.

They look really great :yess:

awesome finally / I hope these get done soon / awesome render

Thanks for the comments, everyone! Our hope is to send them off today or tomorrow to be printed.

Once printed, we will be having them send it off to Raymond who will check it's size and take pics for us if he's nice on the forum. If we are all happy then we'll mail them straight to the printers.

I should ask just because I want to be sure--- did you guys want these in clear black plastic or solid black plastic? Color is not a problem. We can even be trippy and make clear red if someone wanted for a Summer Glau Termnator head if someone wanted. Just sayin'. :)

Will definitely be willing to compromise on majority opinion but I'm willing to think that we'd all agree to have them printed translucent/clear black plastic?

I think that would be the best idea, from there we could go ahead and paint the middle section solid black if we felt so inclined but i would think those would be most accurate/look the best as translucent!!
