Not to speak for Rick, but I'm thinking guys that it would have to be printed in all one material, so that would be clear plastic as you can always go more opaque with paint but could never go more transparent. For the bridge you all can just do a dab of flat back over the outside with a small brush and you should be set. (would recommend painting the outside only so paint will not rub off on your head underneath where it sits on the nose.

Great idea, I'd actually consider this but I suspect it will be short lived.

I bet around the time the production of these are finished and sent out, we'll be seeing specs/pics for a Hot Toys Police Shoot Out T-800.

^maybe but I've decided not to take any chances. Its not totally beyond HT to leave a line incomplete.

I'd be happy with the translucent black and then painting the frames solid black myself.

I wouldnt mind painting the middle part myself.

Hi gang,
The Terminator Gargoyle and Fight Club glasses were both printed out on Monday, and the Gargoyle glasses got shipped off same day to Ray, so we should be getting pics from him soon and his evaluation on size. If approved, they will be sent directly to the mold maker and be available for sale shortly. :)

Looks like these glasses will definitely be of use for the present time - no sign of any Terminator stuff at SDCC so far.

Just a little update; The proto came in, I cleaned them up for a test, just a few minor changes which Sean has made in his rendering already.

The one concern I have is that some of you may already be familiar with this problem but since he has no gap between his ears and his hair the arms will look a little funny sitting over his ears.

My proposition to Rick was to print them as is, and then you can cut them if you want, so they sit right at his temples of his hair/ear, sort of like what Hot Toys did with their recent Bruce Lee. Othewise they would sit over his ears.

Otherwise also we could pre determine that spot so they sit at his ears/temple as well.

My vote is to leave as is and cut as needed.

Any pics? I would also prefer he made them as is and we can cut them ourselves if we want.

just wanted to update as i said i would. I sent Rick pics and i'll let him post them if he feels comfortable. cut out the second rough mold and feel the overall size is much much better. the lenses look great IMO just the issue of the arms but it seems most of you are comfortable cutting off the arms at the temple. Im wondering if they should just come like that though.. its part of what I asked Rick. As it stands they font look right with the complete arms and stick out quite a bit...

will defer to Rick but I think we are close now...

Maybe you could give us a choice of 2 options?

Option 1] Not cut.
Option 2] pre cut.
:dunno

I suppose I'd go with precut since I'd probably want to do that anyway if the arms are sticking out too much.

Wait, are these sculpts meant to fit on the battle-damaged T-800 portrait? Like were they tested and made for them, or is this a generic pair of Gargoyles that can be used for anything (hence the cutting/fitting issues)?
