Took some screen grabs from the blu ray to nab some vest details. If anyone wants the full-res ones give me an email address to send to. I took many many more.

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

Morning guys well evening for some, I received a message from Rocco this morning asking if I could co ordinate the clothing as he doesn't have much spare time.

So I will be working with you guys to get this done, I searched long and hard for a tailor/Seamstress and found a fellow board member who is a seamstress. I'm just waiting for her to confirm she's on board and we will be getting under way.

What I need from you guys is support by posting pics etc rocco is handling castings as a team with you guys we are going to make this happen. :)

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

Will she also be making the Oompa outfit?

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

Good to see some progress. While the RM figure was good (and the Oompa was very good), there is room for improvement, particularly with the sculpt.

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

He definitely sold the Oompa buy itself though. I paid the deposit for both but who knows what may come up so at the very least I plan on getting an Oompa. Still a bit too soon to worry about that though. Let's see some clothing first before working out who wants what.

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

I'm also glad to see this moving forward, but this is indicative of the problems generally with folks taking deposits up front. You run into unanticipated delays, and now folks don't have any idea how the tailoring is going to pan out. At the very least, it would be best to have a completed prototype together before taking payments IMO.

This is why I won't be asking for deposits until you guys are happy with the prototype outfit the only deposits taken are for the casts of wonka and ompa. :) If you guys have any suggestions on fabric etc feel free to put them forward I welcome suggestions etc. :hi5:

Hopefully our seamstress can start work soon :)

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

Is anyone able to photoshop the vest pattern in soze for 1:6 and upload it to spoon flower so we can order samples?

I need to get these ordered ASAP as the seamstress wants to get working :)

My one on Spoonflower is sized to 1:6 if you are happy with it.

This was done in cotton Satin from Spoonflower

Used one of these for the glitter stems

Sounds good I will have godfather get that.
I'm making the jacket out of purple velvet, sueded pants and bow-tie, nice proper wide collar shirt with french seams, the vest and jacket will be lined. I know they do have the option for sateen so it will work. i will use tiny seed beads for buttons for vest since the original had very tiny buttons.
Godfather wanted me to at least make my presence known on here:

I'm usually hired to make girl clothes but I do know some tailoring tricks for guys. plus i own the human scale pattern for this guy so easy scale down.

my computer took a nosedive so i couldn't do the print to send to spoon-flower so that helps a lot. as i explained to rocco id do it i just couldn't make the prints but did know everyone uses spoon flower. I would do the tie out of taffeta like the film but that stuff freys so fast frey check is the answer but stains that particular fabric. I hope everyone is ok if bowtie isn't shinny. It will be easier to clean up after with just a lint brush.

Im working on both rocco's sculpted items ultraviolence aka alex from clock work orange and soon this.

Hey laney can you make a brown and white stripe pattern to send for shirt and socks for oompa.

Although the original pants were camelhair, I would go with a regular cotton material over sueded. What are the choices for the pants material. On the bow tie, I prefer the satin. Since these figures will be handled with great care, I wouldn't worry about fraying.

Re: Sculptor's Wonka and Oompa Official Sculpt and Clothing Collecting Casting Deposi

it
s a micro suede which looks more like the original with visual texture and is super thin so flexibility, won't be an issue and i gave godfather a better satin to use for bow tie.

Re: Candyman and friend Sculpt, Collecting Casting Deposits
