Guys, for those who are interested in Butkus, I might need a little help here. As you know Butkus will sport his football green jersey, the problem I am having is that I cannot find a clear image of what's written on his back, so any of you have an idea or know what's the design on the back ?
IF, just IF it's not possible to find something like that, is it ok if I take some artistic liberties and make a design with a number, maybe "80" and "BUTKUS" written in the back ?

Don't take it as gospel Johnny, but I'm pretty sure the shirt said 'EAGLES 5' (EAGLES & then the number 5 below) as in the Philadelphia Eagles. The green shirt is theirs I believe.

I can't find any decent pics anywhere and it's only really half glimpsed in Rocky 2, in the scene where Rocky is buying him a pimp collar. You can make out the first 3 letters and number in that particular scene, but Butkus is only filmed from that one side so the rest isn't shown.
You can only half see it here as well( but it's about the only picture I could find online that shows any of the back of the shirt):
Here's a more modern version of the Philadelphia Eagles shirt though...green and white...with the team name on the back ala Butkus:

Either way I think the shirt was also cut to fit Butkus it seems.

Just the number on the front I think Johnny. These shirts were some of the ones they wore during the mid to late 70's period:
How much the design differed from season to season, I don't know. I have no knowledge of, or interest in, American Football at all. We only watch real football
