Just standard DID WW2 German boots, sanded, repainted, weathered and some cloth wraps.

First wave of weathering done on the prototype figure.

I won't add the arm wraps until I do another wave, then I'll start
in on them.

I wouldn't worry about that to much. Once the arm wraps on are on(like below) they have a little when
the arms are bent, but look much more stream line when arms are straightened.

Nope.

Though that's done just as much to change the color tone of
the clothing as it is for effect.

Awesome. I think I might do it to mine just to make the material more wrinkled. The weathering is looking great!

Just getting the clothes soaking wet in hot water. It depends what you want to achieve, but getting the clothes wet can make the clothes dry closer to the body, reshape a jacket, or wrinkle the clothes. I just want to wrinkle the clothes. I'll soak them, ball them up a few times, then let them air dry while wrinkled. When they dry they look worn in.
