Okay all, I have some great news and some not so great news.

I talked to Mark Simpson concerning the amount he previously said he could do, 10, and asked if he would be able to do more than that since there's about 23 or more that would like theirs painted by him.

Great news - He said he could do as many as we need done. The cost is £70 for a bald sculpt, and £75 for the sculpt and two separate hair pieces.

Sean has told me that the molds should be made and the castings started in a couple of weeks.


Not so great news - He unfortunately said he could only do the sculpts and hairpieces, not the hands, boots, etc. He explained that the small bits eat into the time he has to work on the sculpts, so he can do more sculpts, but the accessories take the hit.

Also, his current turnaround time is about 10 weeks, but that could be less by the time he gets the sculpts and he gets caught up on other items he currently has.

I'm already talking to another painter for the accessories and will have options for everyone, when I get more info I'll post it here.

Over the next couple of weeks, anybody that wants Mark Simpson to do their sculpts that aren't already signed up for it, just post it in here and I'll update the list in the OP. Anyone that was on the reserve list will now be switched over. Thanks again to everyone signed up and involved for hanging in there throughout this process, I appreciate it very much!

The staffs? I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you’re asking.

Maybe you mean "casts", if so, yes he will be getting them done with the heads.

No worries. To me the HS is the most important part. If someone else can't tackle the smaller parts, I can do those myself; if they can, that's cool, too. Thanks for the info.

I think he should be more realistic with his time frame as I've other custom figures simply awaiting his completion like forever hence I'm not sure when will this be completing

I understand your concern, but all I have to go by is what he’s told me, so that’s what I’ve posted. If you have an issue with him on personal projects, please contact him directly, this thread is not the place to discuss such matters.

Also, nobody has to use Mark, they can choose any painter they want and Sean or myself can ship your items directly to them.

The reality in this hobby right now is that most of the best painters are backed up with work, or not accepting work at all, so there will be a wait with anyone.

£70 (currently about $95) for bald, £75 ($102) for bald with two hairpieces.

Thats a shame about only the heads getting painted.

Would be cool if someone else can paint the rest......happy to go with someone you choose if you can.
