So we can start a civil suit if necessary. This guy has taken thousands of dollars and disappeared— no one’s looking to break his legs — but we would like to get our money back. And he’s not responding to emails or PMs, but apparently he’s still out there, and active, on Twitter — which many of us are not.
That's fine, I was honestly just asking. With what I saw above I had some concerns... referring to this...
I know he’s a scum and a thieving piece of shit hmm does anyone know his physical address or a phone number there should be a fellow collector who knows his physical address since he’s not responding on social media or email imo there is no other option then paying him a visit to solve this mess

Yeah, I questioned that as well, but was reassured that leg-breaking wasn’t the intent. But without knowing who exactly we’re dealing with, it’s hard to proceed with any legal action (if that’s even an option available to us).

Frankly the way these custom projects are run seems more than a little iffy. It’s one thing for the artists to have one person to deal with, but we should never be sending money to anyone other than the people doing the actual work — not a middle man who can then run off with the money.

Yeah it's quite a system built on trust alone. It's how it's been done for a long time now and it has worked well considering the time and money that is usually involved. But this has happened in the past, too... unfortunately it's not a NEW issue. And you can certainly find instances of single artists ducking and running without delivering the goods, which is of course unacceptable.

I'm sorry this has happened with you guys and I wish there was more that could be done. I just wanted to chime in to be sure things don't get out of hand, as you yourself also did above.

That's what I hate the most with Yunsil's way of taking payments. Lots of tailors ask to receive deposits/payments to their own PayPal, not through a middle-man.

I may have gotten “out of hand”, as you say, but I didn’t threaten physical violence. I think my reaction was proportionate to the situation, and clearly many agreed. There should be rules in place if dealing with a middle man that EVERYONE should be given said person’s name, address, phone number, & email; it’s a lot harder to run and hide when people can find them.

Uh oh... I see how what I wrote sounded WAY WRONG. What I meant was I didn't want things to get out of hand, just like YOU DIDN'T WANT THAT, EITHER, as evidenced by you speaking out against "leg-breaking". Sorry for that confusion, I in no way meant to imply YOU were out of hand. Not at all. Sorry about that.

My apologies. I guess I misinterpreted your post. Sorry.
