Re: Daniel Craig - Update 10/13/17: Now Accepting Payments

Thanks Gido. I'm still keen to purchase, when is the cut off point for making payment?

Re: Daniel Craig - Update 10/13/17: Now Accepting Payments

He need money to make casts now, but, if you know you'll definitely buy it in short future, just please write when you could be able to pay to The Owl.I hope most of people will pay now and some of us could do it bit later.

Re: Daniel Craig - Update 10/13/17: Now Accepting Payments

Maybe more pics of the head from different angles or in different lighting might help encourage people. It's not really the most exciting pics he's got up there now. :)

Re: Daniel Craig - Update 10/13/17: Now Accepting Payments

It's pics made by caster. He made just to check is print ok.I'm afraid will be no more pics till cast done.
By the way-payments should be in before next Friday. Then cast will start.

Sculpt looks decent, but I'll second the request for more photos, preferably of the cleaned sculpt. With all the Craig sculpts that have come before, I think it's a big ask to get people to pay without showing a few more photos of the final print.

I'm interested by the way.

I'll trie to ask more angle pics from caster, but I'm afraid they'll be with some lense distortions and don't show right sculpt look...
Are you in for sculpt and ready to send payment anyway, Pix?

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

I love the new pics...

Trouble is, as usual, the price was not announced at the beginning of the interest list. With 36 people interested, surely a better price was to be expected. I'll probably pay but I have to make up my mind to see whether I really want it that much. Last Bond I got was $116 shipped. It was painted, came with a nice tux and accessories. Here we get a bare head for a very similar price. I do the math and in my head, the result says so,etching has become really wrong in this hobby.

Like I said, I was on the interested list, so I feel committed and I'll pay in a few days (not sure I'll make the 19th deadline though), but that probably is my last time in a hs commission. Those prices have become crazy and IMHO only encourage recasting.

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

No one insult you to buy that one, my friend! This price-75$ for head ,is middle price all around here in forum. It's high, I also think so, but you'll not find less for custom sculpts anymore :(
But I'm just curious why people is not write or saying anything.
Was so big interess, but now it's almost dead thread. In stupid Molecule 8 thread are comments every 10 minutes )
I would like people to say out theyr opinion about sculpt and find out do they want it or not and why.
But please don't feel your self obliged to buy it, if it's too pricey for you-no body pushing you, my friend.I believe Vlad also have same opinion. It's yours free choice.
We are happy ,if you like the result :)

Re: Daniel Craig

I'm interested, I'm always interested in Craig sculpts. But I'm highly selective so I wouldn't commit until i saw the final sculpt and was blown away.
Ray!You never was afraid to say out what do you think, please do it also here.

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

Well, that's it Gido, it's not $75! It's 82 +shipping, which is a whole lot more!

Another this, I was hoping the sculpt would be neckless. When I think Casino Royale, I keep seeing the opening scene with the Hawaiian shirt. Here, it will be one more Bond in a tux...

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

I think the reality is that the sculptor will get his money on the front end only, because there is a 100% chance that it will get re-casted. I would rather get an original and I think the sculptor has done the best Craig likeness to date, so buying this one is encouragement for the sculptor to do another group commission. Everyone should consider these realities.

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

Yes-sorry-may fault-it's other one friend who wants to start with 75$ price.Too much projects I want to help to realize ;)
Sorry about sculpt is with neck-I never loved neckless sculpts. We just could make it with longer neck like Belmondo by Solop, but now it's done for more official outfit.

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

The sculpt is definitely looking better in those new pics. And like others said, I think it's the fact this is $15-20 more than other custom sculpts that kind of scared people off at first.

But hopefully most will come back around, since I don't really see BCS topping it with their Craig figure.

Here I asked to catch for you the difference-light is bad and turn is also not good, but, if you'll want to see, there is possible to catch how left eyelead goes down from eyebrow.

Re: Daniel Craig - Now Accepting Payments - Payment Deadline: 10/19/17

Just catching up on all of this in this thread, sorry gido I hate PMs so my dozens of messages often go unanswered for weeks or months.

I was not aware there was a cut off date for payment on this. Will send the payment forth shortly. I have faith in the effort here and still think it could reign as one of the better DC heads and the only good standing Casino Royale one.

I have to be completely honest in saying the photos of the final cast are not doing the project any favors. They are very very poor. bad perspective and sense distortion, bad lighting and quality etc. If the caster can't take decent photos I'd urge him to send them to Vlad or someone else who can.

I also think the fact that the cast is not cleaned up is a bit distracting, like the white spots on then head and lips. this is pretty common in casting but just another reason why it looks a bit underwhelming.

Given Vlad is a pretty new sculptor I think he might need some help in showcasing his work until people build confidence in the quality and consistency of his work that other sculptors like Jnix etc. can enjoy.
