Yes perhaps batteries could be a bit fatter. Have you thought of printing them in 2 halves. Then you could run a led chain from the box into and along the interior length. Theoretically could work.

Maybe a couple of pins in the batteries and holes in the box could keep them in place too. Rather than just the wire/string ??

Just a couple of thoughts.

I went ahead and fattened up the batteries as well. In the second picture the old battery design on the right and the new one on the left.

Painted the main pieces up so I can see where I need to do better sanding. Also gives a decent idea of the paint color for the main unit...

Working on the "wiring" and some other details. Once I have all the insets and openings where the wires will feed into I can think about casting parts. After this I just have to work out the electronics and the batteries on the front. I am really happy with how everything is looking:rock

I think I have a good system down for lighting the digital numbers! It's not perfect in these shots as I think it needs 3 lights to look perfect and I only have two in there. However hopefully this gives a good idea of how it will look.

Thanks a lot, guys! I forgot to mention those numbers are hand cut into some thin plastic I had, just as a test. I'll have the final ones laser cut so they are perfectly clean.

Also did some test painting on the detonator switches. The chrome silver looks great, I think.
