Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney CLOSED

The straight jacket on Robbie's pictures looks quite different than Iminime's, is it the original weathered by him, or the one that comes on the Medicom figure? I gotta say, it's way better than the original, I want one too!

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney CLOSED

I believe that's the Iminime original and Robbie just added some magic

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney CLOSED

Quick update on this project.

Gurneys are moving forward. All the parts are being cut and I hope to get the assembly done this next week so that I can get them off to the plater. Just to give you an idea of the scope, there is almost 2000 pieces of brass that must cut for these and that doesn't include the casting and fabrication. It took some time to get the parts broken down so that the parts could be mass produced. Im building jigs this weekend to make assembly easier. My caster will hopefully start next week making the parts I need. I had really hoped that I could do all this before now, but my job didn't allow me to work on these as much as I had hoped. Only reason I am offering other small projects is because I have brought on another person to cast the parts. My normal caster is the one cutting all my brass. I offered the boots and stuff to get extra cash to pay my cutter because the deposit wasn't enough. Probably more info then you all wanted but I just wanted to give you the whole story. In short, my goal is still to have these ready before the end of the year. The good thing is my job is wrapping up on Monday, which means I can devote most of my attention to this project.

I hope Robbie doesn't mind if i shamelessly hijack his thread for a quick post just to bring attention to a diorama project Im launching. Im making three indentical Lecter cell dioramas and because i know the collectors subscribed to this thread are the ones most likely to be interested i wanted to drop a quick note. Here's the thread:

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney CLOSED

Quick update on these. Jig for the sides is built and working well. Things are moving along. Hope to have the sides done tomorrow. which means I can hopefully start assembly the frame work of whole carts next week as long as I can get my parts from my cutter. Once those get assembled, then its off to the plater which means we shift gears to molding and casting.

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney CLOSED

Robbie is going to be the saviour of a figure that's been sitting under my bed collecting dust since I got it, never once felt any passion for it, this will completely change all that, can't wait for this grail!!
