I also noticed that right away the the blank sculpt looks like the nose was sculpted a bit crooked but it looks even more crooked in the painted version.

The pictures in that gif are at different angles, the 2 pictures at the top of this page may make a better comparison gif.

That's a good point, the nose is really the only thing throwing this sculpt. If the nose gets fixed back to how it was then this should be dead on and the best 1/6 Indy sculpt out there.

Use the other front pic for this, the angle is closer between the two. These are too different...the painted is looking down more in you gif.
Fixed.

Grab a paper bag, man. Inhale...exhale...inhale...exhale...

I don't think anything is warped. It's exactly the same as the original, just different lighting. In the original, you can see the tip of the nose has a shadow underneath and not in Marf's. That's why I think it will be better in hand!

Can't believe I missed this yesterday. Just caught up.

I think this will look better in hand and at scale. The two pictures below I think really look like Ford at 38 though.

But I agree, some of the pictures look off -- paint, light, distortion, who knows. That unpainted sculpt is a thing of sheer beauty and I can't imagine that the finished sculpt has changed so dramatically. I'm guessing it has more to do with light and the hat being on. Funny enough, I also really like Marf's silly phone pic.

But I am eager to see more comparison pictures, and scale pictures to other heads.

Can't thank MJ enough for even tackling Ford, given his history as a difficult person to sculpt.

And Marf -- this is going to be the hardest part right now as you know -- but thanks for organizing this, and... well, hang on tight!

Agreed ...I think the original and painted sculpt are exactly the same. Just lighting creating new visuals if you will...Could be wrong of course, but I think in hand, under your own, controlled lighting, these will be well received :)

I have a hard time seeing how different lighting could make the nose look so radically different from the original sculpt. You can clearly see that it's shaped differently now, and is noticeably narrower towards the top.

As Marf says guys, paper bag. Inhale. Exhale. Unpainted sculpt will settle all debate.
