I have a hard time seeing how different lighting could make the nose look so radically different from the original sculpt. You can clearly see that it's shaped differently now, and is noticeably narrower towards the top.

No, you are looking at the lighted bridge of the nose! Look at the nose with its sides. Same width. Different lighting!

Yeah, that last GIF (top of last page) really shows its the same sculpt.

People might be looking past this pic that Marf took (I cropped the other sculpt out), but I think it looks really good here... as Fordy as I've ever seen Ford...

Different lighting, yes, but you can still see the sides of the upper nose narrowing in the gif (while the rest of the nose remains unchanged).

In any case, we've already seen the painted head from multiple angles, and the bridge of the nose is clearly too narrow in every one of them.

Still on the fence, I think the paint has some to do with the likeness, only thing I'm not a fan of is the fedora. It's not accurate for a Raiders figure, can it be removed?

Thanks for bringing some positive vibes in here with you, Greg. :duff

The incorrect eye color isn't helping either.

Luckily paint is something we SHOULD be able to change, I'll bring it to the producer's attention.

The sculpt and fedora are cast separately, so it is certainly removable. I can ask for the unpainted casts to be shipped with hat unattached, although this might be the plan already since it's much easier to paint that way.

I already ordered early today. I photoshoped this yesterday taking some of the dark out of the bridge, and think it looks great if it could be painted similar, and lighter. Positive vibes from me too, just a tad alteration with paint.

Yes, definitely lighter underneath the eyes. That, and correct the eyecolor, we may have a real winner here at the painted price.

:panic:
You guys should just ask Mr. Ford and see if he'll live with one of you guys in Indian Jones outfit.

This sculpt looks just fine, unless you want to find Harrison Ford and actually cut his head off and display it...you can't get any perfect than this lol.

I think it's a fantastic sculpt! There are a few issues, but I think it's MILES better than anything else readily available out there.

Also, for posterity, I just wanted share these pics of the final sculpt before the neck was removed and casting began. So you guys are aware of the foundation.

That is incredible! Though is this the same sculpt?? :-O The nose, particularly the bridge area looks very different to the painted version. Maybe good to see pics of an unpainted casting?

Also, 'member this picture (below)? I can't see it in the current pictures, but is Indy's mouth slightly open on the picture below...?

Here's the pictures with some landmark lines just for fun:

The same lines are in both pictures. I marked them to the face based upon the top picture.

Is it possible to make a new mold and get a better cast . I may wear glasses but I can see that the nose is a tad crooked. I have already paid for mine.

Ford's nose is crooked in real life. He got the end of the nose and curvature right. The upper portion is pinched. Hard to tell if it is the darkened paint tone on the upper left of his nose (our right).
