Just starting this interest thread to see if anybody would like to buy a custom made Friday 13th machete.
All completely hand made.
With a full aerospace grade aluminium blade.
Then it is edged and polished , I than make a real wooden handle for each side.
I then drill all the way through and add stainless steel rivets.
I then weather the handle and blade.
I then cut real leather very thin and wrap it around the handle.
This will be £50.00=$82.00 the version with paint
£45.00 =$73.00 for the version without.
And will be only doing a run of 10 for now.
There is going to be a few options you can choose from

Handle options

A. Clean handle without leather
B. clean handle with leather
C. Brown painted handle without leather
D. Brown painted handle with leather
E. Brown handle then weathered handle
F. Brown handle then weathered with leather

Blade options

A. Clean blade completely polished
B. fresh bloody blade
C. Dirty old crusty blood blade

Please not no matter what option you choose price will remain the same
As the price of the leather and handle is hear nor there.
Version without paint will be cheaper

Shipping will be tracked only which will be £10.00 worldwide
And £5.00 UK.

Lots of finger ache and blisters on my hands but well worth it

Re: Friday 13th part 3 real metal and wood machete 1/6 scale.

I am thinking Dirty old crusty blood blade with Brown handle then weathered with leather. I also love the polished looked too. Ugh so tough.

Re: Friday 13th part 3 real metal and wood machete 1/6 scale.

Hey all you need to do is remove part 3 from the title that way it wont confuse people. Jason used a machete for all of his movies pretty much it is his staple.

Thanks for the advice:1-1:

You are also doing an ax at some point right?

Well I do hope so but it all depends on the metal.
As if I can get the right sizes that I can easily file down and shape then yes.
As I don't want to have to go to an engineers and say machine it for me as they charge £45.00 per hour.

Perhaps cast in white metal?

it doesn't matter the color I guess since all his weapons looked rustic accept the 2 headed one for the final chapter that started off as brand new lol.

you could se sheet metal and wrap it around handle so you get the eye on top. but you'll need the solder the interior so it looks like one piece of metal. not sure 26 guage might do it

Far too much messing about and it would look crap in all honesty
I like things doing the right way or not at all.
I'm going to make it like the make full size axes
Drill through the axe head and the put the handle through it.
Then at the top hammer a sharpened square nail through the top of the wood spreading it and holding it all together.
