I For anyone needing a metal sword for Gary Oldman's Dracula, Full Metal is willing to make one.

This will be sized according to the plastic sword being offered by Scaletta with the red armour set in order to fit the scabbard (not included) from the same project.

Update: A leather and metal scabbard may be avaialble.

The Latin motto will be included, unlike the Fergo sword from the Rainman set.

It will be the correct line from Virgil's Aeneid: "Sunt hic etiam sua praemia laudi." The replica sword pictured is wrong.

Price will be under $200, but depends on how many we have interested. The more the merrier.

Any idea how far under $200 at all yet? I know Full Metal does excellent work and it depends on QTY, but I am kinda interested - although I have the Fergo one.

Well, the cheapest FM will go on swords is $150.

I asked him to include the Latin inscription on the pommel which is one detail that will be an upgrade over the Fergo.

If these are both the case, I'd be interested.

once all these smaller items get put with RMs sets....they will shine like NO OTHER...almost like the Shining superset....this is great time to be a custom collector...:)

I just received my Scaletta armor set.

It turns out the sword-holding hand is sculpted around the handle. This presents a real design challenge.

1. Full sword (will have to cut out resin sword handle from hand).
2. Blade only to plug into resin.
3. Somehow make a modular sword. Cut off the resin hilt and resin pommel and leave holes for metal parts. Have a separate handle piece so the sword could be displayed whole.

Please let me know what people prefer.

Would it not be easier to ask Scaletta to make a hand that fits the metal sword once it's made? One that we can then buy?

An idea would be that the sword can be made mostly whole, but maybe a removable part at the end (don't know the name - the circular piece with the writing) and then the sword hilt would simply plug into the new hand and screw/plug the circular end back on.

I personally would not want to modify the existing hand.
