Those look great John.

On another note, has anyone hear from Erick? I paid for a head a few weeks back, and followed up with an email a week or so later, but have not heard back from him.

I will ask Erick about your order Laney :wave

Any news on this?
I would like a definite send date ? As it is almost 2 weeks now since the last communication and still no reply to the thread of my pms.
I would not mind but I have ordered a full clothing set for a figure I have had the head for months now and he is getting cold being all naked LOL!

To be honest this is becoming a little uncomfortable. I have seen too many projects like these. First everyone is all over it than something happens and things slow down. No more real updates, not much communication, no time frame and finally no delivery. Guys I dont say you will not deliver or anything, but due to the history of this board please make sure this project doesnt fall asleep.
Personally I am a little worried because I have no interest in a painted boots or board so I cannot really get why those unpainted kits havent been shipped yet. Maybe a little more open discussion? Sorry Origami if I upset you. Its nothing personal. It has simply happened too often at this board. :duff

Hi Guys,

I totally understand your concerns and frustration as it's been a long time since this project started and I also know that there has not been any updates recently. I know that I started this thread/project and I'm also the one managing the lists, but I'm a costumer for this project too.

Unfortunately, I don't have control on the production times for this project as I have for others I'm working on (with my own tailor/sculptor), that's why I haven't posted anything lately because I need to wait for John to post something or wait for an update from him so I can communicate it to you guys.

Believe me when I say that I can't wait too to have this figure on my shelves, and I know that it is going to be an amazing figure once finished, just give me a little more time while I find out a definitive answer on when everything will be shipped and if the clothes are still a go or not.

Thanks for your understanding, and PM if you have further questions or concerns.

I am in the same boat. My unpainted shoes and board arrived quite a while ago. Still interested in the outfit or at least the jacket.

Hi Origami,

I have paid a deposit for an unpainted MAGs & hoverboard with decals & I've sent you a PM, please reply, thanks.

i don't think its about having faith but more so about communicating to their customers.....it would be the professional thing to do....i mean if you can come in here and drum up business for you/your company...the least yuo could do is communicate about delays...i mean...last we saw were the painted shoes (i think).....nothing but a 2 second break to come in and say something....it would put at ease the minds of the people that have funds vested in this project...

:goodpost: yes exactly , I thought when a person ask for the money they should only be able too when boxed up ready to dispatch.
Not take the money and then just decide when they want to communicate or send the stuff.
Communication was fine up intil payment was made and now nothing.
I understand John has a few projects on the go but shouldn't the priority be for the people waiting for the stuff they have paid for.

I think there should be a rule on the boards that only the final payment can be asked for when the stuff is completed and ready to ship.

:goodpost::exactly:

I think john has fallen victim to the new dealer on the boards taking on way way too much, i bought his lone ranger in hopes that tonto was going to be made, i doubt that will happen, he has about a 60+ interest list for mad max and its been up for months and months and i dont think it has even begun? another is john martsen, he is taking on way too much interest stuff and probably other stuff like paint commissions etc that are just back logging this guy to death. john does great stuff, like his punisher, mentioned lone ranger, twd stuff, but i think one big project at a time is enough to keep anybody busy, let alone 5 or 6 projects. i like john a lot, but i dont see this getting any better anytime soon. unless he is working 18 hour days 7 days a week. at this pont its either wait or maybe ask for a refund. i do believe he will deliver a great product. its just going to take a long time. also he isnt a great commuincator or with showing updates, wich is his disadvantage. there comes a time when the fun of the project is gone from the buyer, time usualy kills enthusiasm. other things pop up that grab interest and so on, leaving a long overdo project with less interest. i hope john makes it out of this without problems, but people are restless now wich means they are near the end of their waiting clock. hopefuly john bangs this all out in the next 2 weeks.

He's also got a Metal Gear Solid project that I am hoping materializes, but yeah, it seems like IDM has a lot on their plate.

Regarding payment when items are ready to go, I am totally with you guys, and have made that argument many times before. I know the arguments why it has to be that way, but some on this board (IDM actually not included) take it to extremes, making folks wait 6 months, a year, sometimes longer to get what they pay for, and don't have sustainable businesses because they need money now to finish projects they solicited in the past. Then these guys often just stop communicating for long stretches, which only makes things worse.

Well I don't mind waiting when all they have is the deposit.
But when they say payment is now due that should be payment is now due when item is in hand and ready to ship.
Especially when you buy all the other bits to complete a figure and then the other bits take ages to arrive.
Also it would be a good ideas for sellers on the boards to be limited to a certain amount of customs at a time to prevent this issue from happening.

I have no doubt the stuff will be great as John is indeed a great person but with me communication is key , just a sorry not ready yet.

Has anybody tried to contact him on Facebook?

Although no one really asked us to do the boxes for the hoverboard and Nike Mags, Jen and I both really love the film and thought it would be a great and fun idea to throw these in at no additional cost as a surprise for everyone involved. Well, it ended up taking well over a month and a half just because we were both so insanely picky with the colors and how accurate the boxes should be. Jen redrew and set the entire artwork for both boxes up from references we found online. I think we finally nailed it though after 6 weeks and multiple attempts.

We spent countless hours and print tests to get these boxes done as accurately as possible to the film. We went through at least 6 different variations and adjustments just to get the boxes set up correctly. And those tiny, tiny magnets = headache!

I do apologize to the 7 people who are waiting on the full painted sets. We wanted to do the boxes to surprise everyone, but it took much longer than we expected. If anyone does not want to wait, I can just ship out the painted sets right now. The decals will be included and you can put them on yourself. Jen and I want to put the decals on and put them in the box, but it will be another few days before we can get the boxes printed and assembled if you guys don’t mind waiting.

All other unpainted sets have all been completed and have shipped quite some time ago. So there are really only the 7 people who are waiting on these painted and completed sets.

Here is where we stand now on the mags and hoverboard. I’ll post another update on the clothing set next since that was separate from the boards and mags project.

Hmmm. I don't see my name on this list!!!
I'm paid in full, even though the first post says I've only paid deposits!

I made my first deposit of $56 on 4/30/13
Then paid the balance of $104 on 9/4/13

All payments were made via PayPal.
