Found this on Youtube. I'd record footage myself, but I don't know how to use FRAPS's recording feature.

the crouch over he has when he equips the gun is exactly how i want to pose mine. It's un-achievable with the TTM19

I own the HT Snake, Medicom Old and Naked Snakes and all three have never shown a hint of coming off... because I don't mess with them.

Yeah I own all of them as well but i'm on about the material used to sculpt the tails. I have no idea of what the end product material wise is like. If it's brittle then it could be a knightmare.

Those mentioned have some malleability to them. Does the stuff IDM use?

Just to be clear when i say sculpted i don't mean the bandana is part of the head sculpt

It'd be still a separate piece you slot in like every other figure with a bandana

It's all subjective until John decides the best course to go anyway

If it is cast in resin, then it will not be as malleable or durable as the Medicom and Hot Toys versions. Those others were, I believe, all cast in the colored plastic that was used for the tails as well, so there was no risk of paint damage. Even if they weren't, industrial paint application is generally less prone to damage from handling than is custom made work, even with clear coat protection applied.

For the bandana, I was thinking of using the same type of spandex as the suit, but insert really thin wires in them for poseability. If it's casted, the position would be fixed permanently and I don't like that idea especially if you plan on having him posed in different positions.

Alright then at least that settles the argument. The wires are going to be sewn into the fabric? I just worry that will snap inside.

I did a test of it for my custom Ryu from Streetfighter and it worked really well. I'll try to see if I can get some pictures. The wire won't snap because it's really flexible and thin.

I knew this for a long time, his mullet are identical left and right. I'm assuming we're keeping this for the sake of accuracy?

That's that then!

John are you thinking of doing the suit in spandex?

I agree with Elvis that it's needs to have a sort of matte wetsuit look almost smooth like dolphin haha

What is the most important parts to me is the bodysuit material.
It has to be in two parts. Pants and shirt and I really want some kind of diving suit material. No spandex please.

:goodpost: neoprene is what wee need put it is very thick material I think about 2/3mm thick maybe more and may look bulky on the figure.
But neoprene would look perfect as it is what wet and dry suits are made from

Elvis said neoprene looked too thick even at 0.5mm

I have a friend sewing some 0.5mm into a suit at the minute, it is a surfers rash vest fabric but It isn't finished so I can't comment
