Re: Imaresqd1 Bruce Wayne Order Thread (Anyone that owes read post #749)

I'm sure it's just the lighting.

Re: Imaresqd1 Bruce Wayne Order Thread (Anyone that owes read post #749)

Yeah i agree, its probably the lighting, because the flesh color is very light.

About the pics. The lineup shot is in very low lighting. The heads will all be within about an 80% range the same color. None will be extremely translucent.

LOL - Thanks man.

I know some of you guys like to know the details so I'll divulge:

Been having a low back flair-up (MUCH better now) and then got some kind of sinus crud (Almost gone) :)

So let's wined the clocks back about 2 weeks ago...

I go out looking for parts for a vacuum pump a buddy of mine let me barrow. NO ONE has the parts so me and my mold maker waste about 3 and a half of our 4 and a half hours dedicated making molds.

Ok - Skip the vac pump. We'll just use pressure.

Silicone mixed - Molds poured - Pressure added.

A note to self and all other mold makers - Don't use a styrofoam base for your mold no matter how dense it seems.

Under pressure the bases warped and spilled the silicone to the bottom of the pot. :slap

I went from 10 to 3 molds.

End week.

Next weekend - Pour new molds. Keep under pressure. Turned out great. :)

Next day - I go to start castings. Air compressor is dead.

By this time I'm all :gah: over the air compressor and my back and sinuses...

Now things are looking better and the new molds will start running this weekend with my brand spanking new air compressor.

:lol Life....

This has been a learning experience to say the least but I am enjoying it.

Have to agree about the eyes, in the first pic it also looks like they are looking in slightly different directions.
The skintone, lips, hair etc are great though. :lecture

Wow this looks awesome painted up!!

Re: Imaresqd1 Bruce Wayne Order Thread (Anyone that owes read post #749)

My god, the likeness is better than ever with the paint applied. Looks incredible. Best 1/6 sculpt ever? Given how many professional outfits have tried to nail the likeness and failed, I think so.

Re: Imaresqd1 Bruce Wayne Order Thread (Anyone that owes read post #749)

Beautiful, I can't wait to paint mine. So happy you were able to do it in flesh resin.
