Hey Wake, just an idea to help out....why not set up a poll. It would be easier and we wouldn't need the point system. :)

Can you place more than one vote in polls? Otherwise you would e limited to one selection.

About the system I firmly believe the point system yields accurate results. I predict Shane is going to win. Michonne will be second. Carl third. It really doesn't matter in why permutation anyway as all three would sell well.

I don't know if you can or can't since I haven't set one up myself but i guess its worth the try. :dunno

I do understand your point system, and your right that the three most likely characters would be Shane, Michonne and Carl.

Yeah I know what you mean, not one of my choices. I would prefer Herschel or Zombie Shane.

I can't believe people love Michonne so much. She has always seemed so cheesy and cliche to me. Between the whole overly badass thing, walking around wearing some midevil cloak (who the hell owns those things?), wielding a freaking samurai sword ( a weapon that in real life would basically turn into tin foil after only a few hacks), and toting around some zombie pets. Way too over the top and styalistic.

Half the fun of TWD for me is seeing real people adapt to a sitation that is way above thier heads. Not only is Michone seemed tailor made for this world, but I can't even picture her having any place in society before everything went to hell. Keep in mind that when we first saw her at the end of Season 2, that was only a few weeks after the whole thing started.

Not true months had passed between the outbreak starting and Rick and Co

. If I remember correctly they where on the road for the whole of winter and then some.

I completely agree, but I would love a dio of her chopping a zombie's head off. Basically, a minority woman who is a bad-ass (usually) is hard to come by in contemporary pop-culture, I think, so that makes her a choice for me as well.

Carl IMHO is an excellent choice :lecture brilliant character from both the comic and the show and would be nice to get something a little different almost unique.

... from the comic yes, from the show... I just have such a gripe with him and the way he acts. I think it might also be the lack of acting skills from the actor as well.

Im talking about when we first saw her at the end of season 2. When she met Andrea in the woods.

The time when she actually stopped to do some "badass" pose and then held it for like 10 seconds.

Yeah, with her two friends yay!

She does have a lacking backstory. I don't disagree with you, I just think it would be an interesting character to tackle.

I'm talking about the same scene. Even at that point we where months into the outbreak, plenty of time for her character to have been shaped by the world around her. There's also the fact she clearly has trust issues therefore it's entirely plausible she was aggressive and unsociable well before the Zombies appeared. The world she find's herself in now was always probably more suited to her than the one before. She's a Loner.

For the record, yes you can have a poll and allow people to vote for more than one choice. You just limit the amount of votes they can have from 1 to all the choices. Pretty sure the poll is limited to 10 though, so giving people 5 votes probably wouldn't give an accurate demand as they'll vote for half of the available choices then.

You can create a poll that allows multiple choices.

I like the idea of weighting votes in some circumstances. For example--"what is your favorite movie ever?" But here, we are trying to determine which figure is most likely going to get the most sales from Iminime team. Considering that, is a given voter 5 times more likely to buy the first choice on their list than the 5th choice? Or is a given voter likely to buy any character they list? If the latter, then I would not go with the weighted vote option, because this is not a poll tapping into how passionate people are about given characters vis-a-vis other characters on a scale, but counts of how many characters would be purchased vs. others.

Personally, I think the best solution is a) not to force people to pick 5 characters, but to list as many as they would actually seriously consider buying (could be 1, could be 10); and b) to weight them all equally. So in other words, do a poll that allows multiple options to be chosen.
