I'm definitely partial to Jake's effort, but they've all been fantastic. I think everyone should be very happy.

Hold on a second... You're not partial to your own effort? You have a horse in this race, get those spurs kicking.

Wow, what a phenomenal paintjob! This might just be the best Indy head I've seen yet. :clap

I second that. Mine will be done by jd Kim! So will have to wait and see one of his work in hand! Although the the Fb pics looks stellar on his work too!

But for now i must say - the way mark has achieved that face color without it looking like 1000 layers have been painted on it makes it a stellar job!

I don't even know mark or have heard about him / but right there he has hit this out of the park!

I also like the iniguo sculpt more as both hat and nose look more accurate to me on that sculpt!

On a related note, I was cruising the 1/6 groups on FB the other day and my wife, sitting next to me, blurts out, "holy sh**, that looks like a real person" - now she will often make a comment on something I show her or prompt her about, but this is the first time she's made a comment out of the blue to anything on my screen.

Yeah even though the other sculpt might have a slightly stronger likeness up close, I just think the overall proportions on this one work a whole lot better and look a lot more natural on a body. Plus I kinda prefer the more serious expression anyway.

Mine is now finished and being shipped today from Jaeduk... can't wait to show photos... 👍

I saw about 5 photo's from Jaeduk, they look awesome. Very glad to have mine done by him as well.

Haha, you're right, man. I just have to respect the excellent work that's been done on these sculpts. Truly mind blowing ****. Jake is a given that it'll be knocked out of the park, but Jake doesn't have a ceiling and even he hit another level on these sculpts. Simpson has been improving immensely as of late, and I'm pretty floored by what he achieved here also. Jaeduk is also very good, so I guess I'll have to really get cooking on one to see how I stack up. I'll be doing both. So you're absolutely correct, sir. :)

IMO, you'll only get better when pushed by your contemporaries, so there's a lot to look forward to.

My favorite paint apps are those that have an immeasurable sense of depth - just the right amount of subtle detail work to push them to the next level, layers of different hues/shades that just work together to sell the realism.

Isn't Jaeduk an Iminime painter...?

Yes he is! He did most of their paint ups! If you see some of the stuff / sculpt paint by iminine is very realistic and he is a stellar painter!

Last but not least he is a very very sweet guy to talk to and deal with! I can vouch for him as have been talking to him for 2 odd months when i was first looking for a painter!

I am yet to see a sculpt from him in hands but his pictures look stellar on Facebook!

He is also moving to a better / bigger workshop as he has a lot of stuff coming his way!!!

Those look amazing. What is he charging these days? So many good painters now.

Best,

Robert
