His second run on Han sold 84, with people still requesting more, so no, I don't think it's a massive exaggeration.
Yes the list was 70, but some people were ordering 2 at a time.
My point is, the difference between an OK sculpt and a great sculpt has huge financial gains.

As one of the people who missed that Han sculpt and seeing how many people still ask about it in that thread, he could probably sell another 80 lol.

I don't think anyone's been extremely negative in their comments here. An artists needs to have some level of thick skin. Something so personal that comes from you is always met 50/50. Nobody is going to love what you do all the time. I definitely think the sculpt beats HT, but could it use slight revisions/tweaks? Yea, but it's still pretty damn good likeness.

I may not have agreed with all the Photoshopping nonsense last time (because I felt it was over the top and never ending) but that was very well put - a good counter-argument/point raised in a fair manner, IMO.

If Jnix does make the changes suggested (I'm assuming he won't) I would change my mind and buy one too.

I'd love nothing more than to get the Jnix Obi, but at the end of the day, it's almost the same price as buying another figure. So for me, that justification to purchase, really has to be whole-hearted.

Thanks Anx10us. After last time I didn't want to get involved in the photoshopping, but I am glad someone has taken the time to do it.

I'd love nothing more than to get the Jnix Obi, but at the end of the day, it's almost the same price as buying another figure. So for me, that justification to purchase, really has to be whole-hearted.

I imagine half don't actually display their figures but have photoshopped images in their detolfs instead.

What a truly ridiculous thing to say! So is it too much to ask that our £150 headsculpts actually look like the actor that they're meant to portray?!!! :gah:

I love the way these threads always wind up with some people telling other people how they feel or will feel in the future.

If that was directed at me, I apologize if it sounds that way. I'm certainly not telling people that they should feel bad that they missed out. It's just that that's the way these threads usually end up with e.g. Han Solo jnix head.

I've missed a few great headsculpt over the few months and regretted not jumping in early when I had the chance (inigo Luke head)

I don't think the extra interest with Han was just because people sat on their hands at first. I think a lot of it was down to advertising (in the HT Han thread). Also, it was Jnix's first SW sculpt here and few knew of him.

The majority said they think he nailed it and now he has a justified large following.

Some people have also said here that they don't think he nailed the Luke and this one (me included).

Either way, the sculpt doesn't do it for me (I really wished it did because I'm a Jnix advocate and wanted this Ben sculpt) and my point is that arguing/trying to convince each other otherwise is totally pointless. We're all collectors with different tastes and opinions.

My last post was mainly aimed at comments like this too:

Don't generalise people Paul, I registered interest and am now not buying, because the likeness is just not there enough for me to want to buy it, it's simple enough logic really and doesn't warrant your comment like we've locked a child out on the step for the night.
I own both the Jnix Han and Luke sculpts, Han was breath taking, Luke was not, did Jnix feel bad taking money for Luke ? I'm guessing not, and I'm not just going to buy a sculpt because someone tried their best and need the money.
You buy the sculpt by all means, you obviously see something in it that many others don't, so spend your bucks and be happy, just don't take swipes at others if they choose not to follow you.

No Mike, your cool, I don't think you said anything out of turn.
Your also a crazy good painter mate, and I'm sure you'll eek the very best obi one this sculpt will allow.
I really want to be wrong on this sculpt, I just don't feel confident enough that I am to warrant buying it.
But a genuine good luck to all who have, I hope it turns out great.

Mate I don't know you from the tree next door, and I don't think I've ever commented on a single other post you've made.
I'm a quiet 46 year old with a love for Star Wars, and all I want is to collect great figures, and meet other folk who do the same.
You came out with some pretty scatheing comments that were guaranteed to raise a few heckles and I picked you up on them, that is it.
So if I'm a freak in your eyes, then I can live with that, I've been called worse and survived it, so let's just all move along with life eh?
