DoggieDoc the accessories look amazing! Thanks again! The egg is brilliant, when I saw it I instantly heard this line in my head, "Malcolm was right ... Life finds a way".

Thanks! I took those photos VERY quickly before work this morning and the photo of all the accessories is pretty terrible now that I'm seeing it. I will take a few better shots today at lunch and upload those.

I will also be trying to finish the flares with a final look and painting the egg very soon. I did some work on the life-size claw as well and I will be finishing that soon so it can be molded for copies. That'll more or less complete the accessories!

Now that I have most everything near completion I will also be able to get pricing information.

So I'm having a helluva time getting good images but I snapped this today. Painted the egg quickly.

I think I'll be purchasing a new camera soon..

We need a back up for this thread. I think it's going bye bye due to the new sideshow affiliate ordeal.

Thanks for the messages.

I get the concerns as there hasn't been a statement from Dave yet, but to my mind it would be very odd if this thread fell foul of Sideshow's statement. We are only doing a clothing run for a non-descript pair of khaki trousers, blue shirt and neckerchief with a belt. We are not selling accessories or head sculpts in this thread but yes we are showing that these will be available separately so people have the option of kit-bashing a figure if they want to....it's not like this is going to be a large run or we have any other options (thanks Chronicle).

I'm keeping an eye out to see how this is going but the general impression I'm getting is that this is designed to try and stop the sale and discussion of medium to largish runs of unlicensed complete figures that are being more frequently released. I have saved my first post externally so I have everyone's user names who is interested (those who have paid a deposit I have your emails) so I will contact you via pm if needed and we will find a new home for this project (combination of facebook/another forum/emails).

Hope that helps and as Malcolm always says... uh uh Life (read Alan Grant custom project) will uh uh find a way.

Well someone has egg on their face right now haha. I guess I called this wrong completely and it turns out that SS's message actually does apply to all customs after all. Well the good news is that this project isn't going to go away and I am still as keen as ever. I have sent everyone who has expressed an interest a PM with my contact details so that we don't lose touch if / when this thread needs to find a new permanent base.

For the moment I understand that the plan is for the customs section as a whole to become separated from the SSF board in the near future. If this doesn't happen or it goes a bit wrong then it won't matter as I have backed up the first post and like battlestar galatica we will find a new home.

Right now all I can do is wish you all a happy 25th Jurassic Park anniversary / father's day and promise to keep you all updated as best I can.

I'm super excited to see Waruna's sculpt for Grant and in case anyone is a keen Game of Thrones fan (or just wants to see more art) Waruna has also just finished two sculpts for Jaime Lannister and they look outstanding.

Either people don't know this is up and running or they just don't want to come here. it's like a ghost town.

I think there is a big problem with the granting of access to the new site. Dave made the announcement that the site was ready but clearly it wasn't. To see the customs sections people STILL need to be granted that access by the admin, and I haven't seen hi on for a couple of days. I have messaged him a few times and he stated he has the lists we gave Dave (of members on all the interested lists) and he has to go through and grant access, but most people on my list tell me they STILL can't see these sections. So unfortunately many that have probably come here have left againm totally confused.
