I was considering a reply with a taste of sarcasm. Not going to lie, it's hard to stay interested after so long.
I contacted Waruna a week or two ago and he told me he would visit the forum and the thread. He has yet to do so as far as I can tell. I would be happy to contact him again.

They should contact one of the other "trending" sculptors. Mina You I think is one. Jake uses her(?) A lot, always good work it looks like. Don't be too reliant on one sculptor, or false promises. Just my two cents. This sculpt can be done. Caine is another one to consider.

You're absolutely right. If Waruna has abandoned the project no reason to let it die otherwise for no reason. Bravomite, what do you think? I'll leave it for him to decide since he started the project, I have just been trying to facilitate the transition to the new board as much as possible.

I would like to thank you DoggieDoc for championing this forum. You definitely have been doing your part to try and get this moving. Sometimes I have to force myself to log on because it just seems like a waste of time, but I need to do my part as well.

I appreciate that.

Yeah I'm a little disheartened... I've heard several people talk about dropping out of the hobby or just not getting into this anymore because the forum moved. I don't get it. Signing in here is not difficult. The forum works almost exactly like SSF. What the hell is the difference?

I can understand not knowing it even moved... but once you tell people and they still don't head over here? I mean my love of this hobby didn't suddenly die because i check it out at a different URL. Im still rip roaring and raring to go on every project i have already announced!

Hi everyone. Just a quick update of sorts to say that I am talking with Waruna. I've just left him a longish message so I will let you know once I've heard back. Sorry the project is not moving along as fast as you and I would like it to.

You know how everyone is about one stop shopping these days. Speaking only for myself, the problem I have is that both sites now seem boring. There was always something new to look at. You can't post customs or unlicensed figures at SSF. I don't need to go there to find out about the latest Hot Toys figure. You can get that anywhere. I go mostly to SF for statue talk now. I come here for customs, but there's nothing new. It used to be you couldn't go a week without a new project starting.

My interests are licensed figures, unlicensed figures, customs and statues. When it was all at SSF, even if there was only a scrap from each category, it was worth the time. Now, just one scrap is pointless. I don't know why anybody would drop out of the hobby because of it, but I do see how you could become disinterested.

I know that you've really hit your stride with this stuff. The Gump accessories are insane. I wish the Terminator arm surgery project would have materialized. You would have nailed that too. I hope you're able to garner enough interest for other things you want to do. Maybe if we started seeing some new projects here, people would gravitate here as well.

At this stage, think will drop my personal interest in this, it looks like the most important part, the HS seem to be stuck in an artist limbo, it happens sometimes...the artist really do not like the subject or is not to much interested in putting the time and effort needed in that particular sculpt, and if he/she have other commision work pending/on the works is even more important to them to put their full effort and artistic talent toward those....unfortunatly the lack of artistic interest seems the case here with Dr.Grant. The only thing I need is the HS to compleat all the items to build my figure.

There is still hope from Chronicles Collectables...they show a 1/4 Dr. Grant prototype recently...so perhaps their 1/6 version could be revived...who knows.

They will not pursue any 1/6 figures now or in the future.

Well, in that case...Dr.Grant seem to be as elusive as ever!!...really was looking forward to this custom run!!

Nope. At least not for this interest thread. There have been at least three sculpts made in the past that I'm aware of. All three decent as well.

I've bought one ( the hatless version ) I've sent it to guy for making cast of it, and he never sent it back ...
