The latest and best other toy comparison I can draw is the upcoming 1/6 Tyrion Lannister. He stands at 8.7" tall, which makes our Oompa Loompa actually shorter than that. As far as his body proportion I actually think it looks good. Little people tend to have shorter / thicker arms and legs. I think this body with a slightly bigger head (normal human sized) we would be good to go.

Yes I think the Oompa body is good as is. That's a great idea I might buy a Tyrion and do a swap so it can be fully articulate

Problem there is the outfit wouldn't fit the body I thought about doing the same.... But the outfit would probably look bulky or baggy.
Wish they sold stock bodies like that :horror

Problem there is the outfit wouldn't fit the body I thought about doing the same.... But the outfit would probably look bulky or baggy.
Wish they sold stock bodies like that :horror

Yeah I think I can make it work with some padding or custom sculpted parts to the body!

With talk of the tailoring on the oompa as well, on the Rainman version the brown shirt is tight looking. The fabric in the film is actually a little baggy... it almost looks as if their bodies were padded out too haha. I think the only thing to be concerned about with the sculpt is the tapered waist in terms of fit.

I agree about the waist, glad you brought it up. Our sculpt has a very tapered waist, it needs to be a fuller bodied figure. If Yunsil is getting the body for the fitting, she will most likely tailor the clothing to fit the tapered waist. We need to make an adjustment for a fuller bodied figure so the clothing can be adjusted.

We need to make an adjustment for a fuller bodied figure so the clothing can be adjusted.

I dunno if modding the sculpt is necessary. It can be done hot toys style....padding around the waist. It's a easy fix. Honestly if yunsil doesn't taper the waist too much it visually would look fine.

The waist line might fall above the taper so it could be a non issue, I think just something to bring up to yunsil. I am glad we can salvage the Oompa body....we have to have something useful from the sculpts we all bought lol.

As long as we don't make the assumption that Yunsil will know what we are thinking. We should be very clear about the look and fit of the outfit so there aren't any misunderstandings.

Question regarding the ompa body we have and the talk about it are you guys suggesting that Yunsil should do a fatsuit for him? Or do you think he's fine the way he is?

I think a fat suit might be a good idea so that we all have something uniformed.

Also the price for the proto is $500 so I'm hoping we can get an awesome proto and go from there if there's anything that looks off.

Apart from that the final clothing sets will be roughly $300 maybe $340 if we need to add bits such as the fat suit.

That pricing sounds fine. I am not entirely sure even belly padding is necessary, it is all about how Yunsil tailors the waist. She might be able to make the fabric fall properly on its own. The top of the overalls go way above the taper so it may not even be an issue for fit. I would just be sure to use it as a caveat. If a belly pad is easier then that makes sense, but absolutely necessary? I am not so sure.

I hear what you guys are saying. I think just some belly padding would do the trick. If we are relying on the outfit being tapered, then you have to play with the material to get the right look. Personally, I rather have the body proportionate to the Oompa, I think the fit of the clothing will be more natural. So, a fat suit isn't necessary, but something around the middle to even him out is what I'm thinking.
Plus, to insure the outfit meets the size requirement for the look, Yunsil will need to have a modded belly so she can get the correct sizing/look.

I thank simple padding is fine. We will definitely get there haha. I am just glad the body can be salvaged. I am excited to see yunsil work her magic. I think the Oompa will look spectacular being a realistic height.
