Re: Candyman & Friend Monty Productions: Vest pattern update last Page!

I agree with gold it brings out the flower pattern more! Does anyone else vote gold?

Here's a few questions for the guys on the project

1 if anyone doesn't have an ompa body please drop me a pm! Only people on the list!
2 Is everyone ok with having their canes shipped to me to be packed with the final figure?

3 new bits of important Info!

1 Clothing prototype should be ready for August
2 Shipping date for all sets is estimated October / November!
3 I will be sending the box decals to Mike if he's still ok to do the boxes for the guys in the states to save you lots on postage

Here is what I see. Comparing it to the screen shots, it appears that the rows are a little too wide and each of the flowers should be a little closer to each other with not so much space between them. One other thing I noticed on the coloring is that although the lines appear to be silver (to me), the little buds attached up and down the line appear to be gold.

I think the solution for the gold / silver debate is to do the base stems in the gold color like in the pattern, and then the glitter overlay that is done be done in silver. I think it would create the desired effect. I know gold glitter material tends to look darker and more like copper. The pattern as I see it looks really good.. when it translates to 1/6 it will look awesome.

Comparing it to rainmans the issue could be the fact using silver might look like his..... That's not what I want I'm going to try it in 3 versions with the seamstress.

Gold
Silver
Mixed

When the test get done I will post pics so you can choose :)
Personally I like the design as it is I don't see any issues..... Baring in mind this is still for the prototype so the end product for the full outfit will have new changes :)

Re: Candyman & Friend Monty Productions: Update last page please read!

The little extra spacing on the flowers could actually be more of a benefit because these flowers are going to be INSANELY tiny in translation to 1/6. Man it sure is quite the eccentric vest that is for sure!

^this....
The spacing is deliberate. If kept as is in 1/6, there is way too much detail for such a small area. I have taken this into account and adapted the pattern accordingly, but kept it as close as I could.

Jason, of all of us, you are the one who can see it up close in actual size, so I will go with what you say.

I agree with you on the silver gold effect with the stems being gold and the vines being silver.

I think it's good for 1/6. Any smaller/closer runs the risk of looking like a mess.
You still need to identify them as flowers rather than blobs of colour.

Re: Candyman & Friend Monty Productions : Epic surprises in store!

Jason looks fantastic. Gold print with silver glitter would be my choice.
In terms of spacing, what is the width measurement of 2 columns of flowers (1 stem with flowers) on this pattern?

Maybe instead of the tailor doing a silver and a different gold option, to do just this instead to eliminate extra work / wasted time?.

Is there anything new on the sculpt fronts?

Oompa Loompa still rough but here is a WIP pic.

Here is a mock up of the size of the pattern on the RM vest… It has been designed to suit 1/6 scale. This will give you some indication on how detailed it will look…
