Mike the cane looks awesome, will you set up a separate for sale thread or will all this happen centrally in this thread? Either way I'm ready to pay, just need final details and int shipping costs.

After looking at the reference pics I sent, its amazing what liberties you took to create the emblem... its perfect I would say. I am still not sure what the heck color it is though lol. Will you be doing an ivory color for the handle?

Just an update we are having a new vest pattern seamstress is waiting for that pattern then they will start work in the proto as they have all the fabric ready!

I'm aiming to have a full proto done in my hands for End of August! Which means final piece with changes will be due in October when I'm back from Paris

Mike is still working on the sculpts!
And the ompa lompa body will having a bit of padding and there will also be a new body used for wonka!
Proto will be done in a kumik but final will change

One question regarding the glitter stem is is gold or silver?

It seems gold or silver is the debate for all aspects of this... the cane... the glitter lol.

Looking at the screen shots you sent me a while back, they definitely look to be silver. i'm looking at #27, 32, 44, 48 , and a few beyond that. There are some good crisp up close shots, especially if compared to the gold coloring of the buttons. I'm looking at them on an iPad so I'm enlarging them a bit.

In the movie it kind of glitters. I really think it could even be a mix of silver and gold. Its a toss either way.

I'm all for silver, I'm unconvinced that glitter is gold. Looking at HD film images I see silver. If I look at the auction images, which are of a 40+ year old garment they look gold, but I'm putting that done to degradation.

What did the final vest print look like, did it end up having the mauve strip added beneath the odd numbered flower strips?

To me it's a pale gold. There are so many shots with different colours. But the buttons are gold and it is a tone of them if you like.

It's definitely muted, whatever color it is. But again, if you have the screen shots that were sent to us (not sure who received them), it definitely looks more silver than gold. If you are referring to the photo on the previous page, that is coloring after 40 years and looks pretty faded.

How is the detailing being executed? Is it painted glitter or embroidery?

If it's glitter I would use silver as a primary and hints of gold. I think gold glitter will look blah if it's the only color used. It's so tough to tell.

I can have a mock up of both done even a possible mix we'll see, I'll get the seamstress to do a mock up when she gets the pattern see what you guys like best.

Nope it didn't however I'm paying Marlindesign to do a new design with the stripe in the background

the smaller one is for use as a repeating pattern brush in photoshop

Thanks very much. I will compare these to what I have got.

I am redrawing the pattern in illustrator so it is a vector file - meaning it is true lines that can blown up as big as a house with no loss of quality.
Nearly finished. Godfather will show you something tomorrow!!!
