I always thought that both holsters were standard issue ones from their respective eras.

I'm loving how the body looks, it looks like a mix of the game and the most recent CG render

I got that holster youre talking about with the supressor holder in the front, i just put it on mgs1 solid, it looks perfect. Id just like to get the new boots, gloves, and darken the suit like matt did and hes perfect. This mgs2 snake is going to be excellent, cant wait to see him on display. Matt do you think well have him before the summer?

They are but you don't get one till you're a certain rank unless your job specifically calls for one. They are useless if you ask me. If you need to use a sidearm then some bad **** is going down and in that situation I don't want to put my trust in a 9mm.

Absolutely. I'd much rather have lower capacity with more stopping power.

He darkened the grey on the suit from geewhiz and it looked much better. If matt feels like showing it then youd see.

I haven't put MGS Snake together yet. I just finished painting the head and accessories. I do think the grey is too light so I'm interested in what Matt did to the uniform.

Yeah I had the vest and the sneaking suit darkened afterwards.

As for it arriving for summer I would hope so - maybe late June/July if last payments for the suit are due in May but would need to clarify with Scaletta.

I will post the drawing of the holster I sent to Scaletta when I get to work so you can see. It's the best I can get it from the ref images Ryan sent me from the document of mgs2 which have been the best refs (for everything) up until now.

Here is the drawing of the holster.

I couldn't figure out what that bit above the first mag pouch strap from refs so i just made it a loop for the strap end to go through but after looking at the holsters dylan mentioned yesterday they have that same loop there so it's worked out fine.

Small update

I sent the head and boots to Scaletta for test prints. The boots still need some work for them to function as a 2 piece and hide the ankle holes when bent either forward or backwards.

I'm not 100% they will work fine so they may still end being a once piece but we are trying to make them a 2 piece. Whichever way the boots go, once its all been finalised this week we will send to print the masters and then casts will be done.


Lastly, it's not set in stone yet and will most likely come after the clothing set is fully paid for but i've been talking with someone about doing the flight suit for Pliskin and possibly the hands & boots if the interest is there.

Me too, not happy with the suit i have, the collar isnt symmetrical. Ill get whatever youre offering.

I had a look around for some suits, some seemed OK but none had the right pocket placements and realistically didn't want to have to buy 4 different ones to see which fit the best etc when i could pay a little more and just get one done accurately. I spoke with the caster who's wife also does some tailoring - mainly suits etc so figured it might be a more economic option but I'm still in talks

the boots i couldn't find anything even remotely similar, i don't have the most extensive knowledge of parts so there might be some out there

Just a quick update to say everything has gone off to the printers. Hopefully should have pictures of the masters before then end of the month

Once the parts are printed they will be shipped to the caster for molding and casts.
