nice, thanks. i had a friend finally see my mgs "doll collection" in person and saw mgs1 solid snake and he was loving it and wouldnt stop talking about how much it was his favorite and how detailed it was. goes to show how much work went into the first one. cant wait til this one is done, its going to be truly special.

Have you heard anything from Mark, Matt? He's had the two heads I sent him for two months now. I'm fine with it taking longer, just curious if anything moved forward with them.

He responds to me on facebook usually whenever I talk to him, he told me he was six weeks out so I would wait a bit and contact him if you don't hear anything.

No i haven't sorry, figured you'd just be emailing between yourselves but as Higgins said you can always hit him up on FB

Hey guys, small update just so you know it IS still ongoing

Been working out niggles with the suit with Scaletta, had a few issues with pads and a few other minor things but hoping i can have some more images of the suit soon.

I think they have fixed the issue of the leaking prints now so they are getting re-printed and shipped to the caster soon, hopefully that can move forward.

I have asked for a cast of snake to be sent to me so i can make sure the hair is not an issue at the back. If i can dremel it so it moves fine then we should be good to go.

When i have some more info i will update of course

Formerly Ryan Pliskin says he can wait, take your time. :rock

Formerly Ryan Pliskin also asks, did you ever solved the Pliskin suit neck collar thing? If not, that's fine.

Yeah, he's gonna do an undershirt piece for pliskin for those who would want one. Just gotta finalize the sneaking suit clothing set and the holster then he'll run a proto. It will probably just be a high neck vest type top with a fastening on the back.

I was holding out to show some less scrappy wip but figured i'd show the suit as it is right now so people can see the changes we've been working on to make it more accurate and sort out some fitting and finish issues. Ignore the rips on the front of the top, it's from repeated vests being refined, put on and taken off etc. Finals will be clean.

It's pretty much an entirely new suit using another technology - fabric is thinner for a better, tight slim fit to the body.

Changes from the original proto:

Shoulders have been refined to get a cleaner shape
Suit colour has been refined (painted tonal, will look more blue/grey - lighter/darker depending on the light)
Straps and the rappelling harness fabric changed to be more accurate
Tactical vest and H harness have been laser cut for a cleaner finish
Padding added to the forearm
Bulked the bottom of the trousers out to bunch out over the top of the boots
Legs shortened on the body to combat the proportion issues

The torso has been replaced with a 3D printed torso with all the detailing on so the suits been sucked into it to achieve the muscle definition

That's insane, Frank! as a MGS2 fanatic, you did justice to the suit. Bravo!

The thing about the MGS2 Snake and Raiden suit are that they're ridiculously tight. It's pretty much a nightmare to imagine them done right in 1/6 scale but that's clearly head and shoulders above anything else. I really don't care if it ends up as statue-esque as a Batman figure, it's the aesthetic that comes first imo.

It should look great with the vest finished and on.

I'm really pleased with the way it's shaping up, big thanks to the Scaletta team for really putting a lot of effort into making it work how I thought it should, it's been a lot of work to get it to look remotely like the game render and I think for a small group of people to produce something of this quality is really something else
