I can't wait to see the vest rig all put together. Were they going to make the holster as well? I think we talked about this before.

Yeah they are going to do the holster once the suits done. They want to finish this 2nd proto until it's all signed off and they start rolling out production of the clothing set.

They'll do the holster and the Pliskin undertop around the same time I would imagine

One thing I haven't found out a decent work around for is how to attach the mag clips to the front of the vest

I was looking at magnets buts that a no go and then I considered having them on a loop threaded through the vest strap with stitch lines to stop them moving but don't think that's an option either, so they might end up having to be glued straight to the strap

Glue might be the best bet. With the strap directly under the pouches, I don't see any other way really. I'd like it stitched, but I don't think that'd work realistically.

Will these work? These were used by some folks to remove 1/6 shirt pins and have them hidden inside.

Hmm, maybe magnets wouldn't be a bad idea. It would strip away any slight deviation between the vests we all get since we can just adjust it ourselves. I guess, just have them sewn under the vest?

Cant open that on tapatalk but I'll have a look when I get home.

LI've spoke with Scaletta and the issue is if you don't glue them, the loop has to be thick enough not to snap but not stick too far out so they look odd on the vest or sit lopsided. I don't think once they are in place they can sew them in that position as the way the vest in constructed

For the magnets, because the fabric is thin you would end up with the shape of the magnet pushing through the fabric and it would then need to be powerful enough to hold through the vest and the straps but if you glue it under the straps from an angle the straps are going to stick out from the vest so it's not ideal.

I'll be assembling them all anyways so if we're going with that they will be glued when you get it

Oh and the mags don't have a loop sculpted onto the back, so they would need to be made separately and glued on

I was worried about that. I guess will see what Scaletta says once the project gets there.

Well, I'm fine with any outcome so long as the aesthetic is pleasing. I still have to paint the pouches before placing the pouches on the body and my greatest fear is I'll mess up the glue since I have shaky hands. Do you think theoretically something like UHU glue would be strong enough?

The painter can probably paint just the pouches for the vest for fairly cheap, so if you were worried you can always go that route, It's a little extra to pay I know but removes any of your risk and puts it on me haha

That's a good idea actually! Beats the alternative of 50 tablets of Pentazemin I need just to apply the glue. Thanks for the suggestion!

I sure as hell wouldn't want to do it :lol I'm a buffoon when it comes to repairing collectibles or gluing anything since I end up using too much.
