The Following Voting Poll is designed to get a clear public opinion on what outfit would work best for Rainmans latest custom project character "Milkeshake Man". The choices have been narrowed down to 3 specific outfits based around the previewed hatted headsculpt. Please choose your desired outfit based on this sculpt. This poll in no way will serve as the official determination for the final outfit choice, it is merely to be used as a tool to give Rainman a clear public opinion on the outfit. Rainman reserves the sole right for final outfit choice. Please direct all other comments strictly unrelated to outfit choice to the Milkeshake Man by Rainman official announcement thread.

rewatched this last night and remembered why i liked it all those years ago. strange that some movies you watch, immediately love and forget about. and other crapper ones you watch, think meh, yet watch over and over again :dunno

anyway, i voted for the grey suit just because its what i personally immediately associate with the character. i think an oily plainview would have been stunning, but since rainman hasn't really done anything like it in the past (not even any major weathering without charging substantially more) it's probably out of his comfort zone. would have shown some serious cojones and an evolution in his game though.

i think quail hunt outfit would look great as well. if it does turn out to be this i really hope he includes the dozen quails or so on strings - that would look awesome!! :lol

I would never have even thought of them as an accessory, but that would be amazing, but doubtful I suspect.

You can easily bash a decent charcoal suit look. You couldn't easily bash a Quail hunt look. You could also part out more looks with the Quail hunt look. The Quail hunt look gets my vote.

This is a very pointless thread unless those that are voting speak up for why they want it, or restart the thread so that names can be seen who's voted for what.

If someone is genuinely interested in this figure to purchase they're not going to vote and run. Right now I count 4 for Quail and 3 for classic. Not suprisingly the poll reflects 9 and 6 the other way.

I'm personally not interested in letting someone who's not planning on buying this having a say.

:lecture blitz, you need to set up a paypal account and a new website. $10 gets you a vote. in the end you show your rainman receipt and you get the $10 back as a ticket to an annual rainman fan dinner & dance casino evening and cream cake emporium.

Wofford, there is no doubt that your expertise in this matter is greatly encouraged but Quail Suit just doesn't make any sense. He's not a Quail Hunter! The Classic charcoal suit is not easily bashable because it has a special & subtle feckled blend feature to it. It's also the suit arguably used in the MOST important scene in the entire film. This outfit choice can make or break a persons decision to purchase this figure so how do you expect people to commit to buy before they vote?

How does it not make sense? It's not a quail hunting suit, it's a suit he wears while he's quail hunting i.e. scouting for oil. No different than a suit he wears while he's tossing around sales pitches. These are just outfits they're not uniforms. As for the the charcoal suit I'm not sure what you mean when you say "feckled," it's certainly not simliar to that pic. It's just a wool suit. And I don't think there is a MOST important scene in the film.

I want people to vote. I never said they shouldn't. I only want them to vote if they are going to be buying the figure though. Why should Rainman give a ____ about what outfit Joe schmo wants when he's not planning on buying any version no matter the winner? If someone is truly interested in buying this figure, cast a vote, and then say why you want it. Why are there 9 votes for classic and yet only 3 comments in support? Why are there 6 for quail and yet only 4 comments in support? The poll needs to be opened so we can see who's voting or the people need to speak up.

i was of course only joking about the $10 vote... but i remember in the past when we've had rainman related polls that i suggested he actually have the poll on his website. that would weed out A LOT of people. people who have bought from him before would be able to vote and people serious about buying the figure would register. it's less likely passers by would join to vote.

that of course would mean though that rainman would have to approve of the poll and want input... and in this case it sounds like it's not likely.

This would definitely be the better way to go if Rainman indeed did want input on the matter. I honestly think he's made up his mind regardless.

He wore a variation of that outfit in multiple scenes. Beating Eli, "I'll Cut your throat," talking with other prospectors arriving in town etc.
