Some nice research turbo!

Unfortunately what you provided has only made my feelings for the quail hunt attire stronger :lol

I think PopCK mentioned something about Daniel being in disguise when dressed in the quail hunt attire. I personally like the thought of a wolf in sheeps clothing. To me the quail hunt get-up still screams Plainview. It was a very important part of the film and so I do not see how it can be so easily discredited by others.

We have had so many debates regarding Rainman only tackling characters that are visually appealing. It seems in this case the majority no longer feel that way.

16 to 10. :lol
Your going to have a Forest Ranger on your shelf melting marshmallows. It's just a public poll, be easy!!

I don't care the results of the poll, I'll take whichever he makes. Just simply stating it's obvious he's made his decision based on the latest accessory he's posted.

I wrote most of this before I saw the latest accessory but had to get back to work before I got to finish & post. It's too late but I'm posting it anyway

It's been said, and I agree, that there isn't 1 single most important scene in the movie, but many important scenes. No doubt the Sunday ranch scene is very important. But being that he is theoretically in disguise, I don't see how that can scream Plainview to anyone. To me that screams V3. And since we're probably never gonna even see a high quality V2, I feel this is a poor choice.

I think I understand the choice though. People feel that the pants are lighter than the rest of the outfit so that adds some contrast or pop. I still feel that it's monotone and washed out in it's own way, being mostly earth tones. And I'm guessing people want that shotgun or other accessories that may be fitting for this suit/scene. If it's all about reaching for accessories or being overly concerned with contrast, then we're really missing the focus here. That shotgun pertains to nothing and I can't understand why anyone would want to display D.P.with it. It's not like he's Doc, Billy The Kid, Blondie, Tuco, etc. And if there's even a thought about the backpack as an accessory :slap

Everyone has their own tastes and opinions. But I really can't get chasing this particular scene specific look, especially for the reasons why I think people are choosing this. Jules & Vincent have the epitome of plain Jane, man in (BLACK) suit look. If they were less popular, and there was only one shot at getting them produced to Rainman's standard, would everyone choose their shorts and tee shirts look(Jimmy's clothes)?

Instead of trying to squeeze shelf appeal and accessories out of this character I would think people would want something more iconic and defining. Everyone has their own opinion and of course are intitled to it. I'm just stating mine. I feel a good approach would be to accept the fact that this is Daniel Plainview. A character that we want to represent in 1/6 but doesn't have an elaborate costume, or tons of accessories. And thus doesn't really fit the "action figure" profile per say, so we should stop trying to make it.

Sad you won't be buying this then.

Here's another interesting look during production. A driver Plainview. Used but you barely see it. Right before the quail hunt scene begins.

I really wish they made Train Conductor Plainview! That would've been perfect!!

...There was a train in the movie you know...

TMI... that's pretty gross dude.

Watched the movie again, I can't get over how important that Charcoal suit is. I think it's the only suit that wasn't mixed and matched with other clothing.
No Hate, but the quail is a fail.

A denim shirt would be Awesome though.

I will ask Rainman once Milkshake Man is sold if he will consider offering a second outfit. The classic charcoal suit.
