Re: Sculpt Interest - Once Upon a Time in the West Frank

Where are all the Western fans and Leone lovers and people who have expressed interest in these guys in other threads like the Rainman wishlist thread? I can't believe this isn't getting more attention.
A lot of times, peeps want to buy a boxed fig and not work on putting it together.

It's odd - for as acclaimed as this movie is, it often drums up about 8-10 people who express interest and that's it. It really sucks, as Harmonica is my #1 all-time tip-top grail and there has never been enough interest to even start the conversation for a top-level artist to tackle him. Luckily, Siquisiri alerted us to a very talented artist who can at least get the tough part of a head out of the way. I am very excited for that and for the promise of an equally brilliant Frank head beside him.Count me in for any clothing that you have planned. I really cannot express how excited I am about this project.

As a basher, I think the sculpts make the fig. Will is a great sculptor, so were off to a great start. The guns, boots, gunbelt can be bashed or purchased. For the shirts and the coats we have to get inventive or commission someone, but not until we get enough peeps on board. I put something together for my frank, let me know what you think, I had a large light on the fig, the colors are actually dark black...

It looks like theres little interest so far in clothes, well have to see..

As stated earlier, interested in any and all outfits. Harmonica's coat being the most essential. I've come across one custom effort being offered for sale before but, to be honest, it looked more like something my old nan would've worn to go to the bingo than something a squinty bad ass would've sported whilst whispering vague threats about the number of horses people brought with them. Along with the sculpt, that coat is the most important thing to ensure looks as correct (as can be) for that character.

Your Frank bash is looking pretty good Siquisiri. I have that DID Robert coat, boots and gun rigs are readily available, just not aving an accurate shirt that would bother me.

I wouldn't take it as a sign of ambivalence towards the source material. The entire board seems to be about 75% full of Interest Lists with only a handful of people on them at the moment. Way too many people trying to get things off the ground all at once.

That looks fantastic! :clap :thud:

Where did you find that shirt? It's perfect!

I bashed it together using what i believe is a khaki soldier story shirt..cut off the front pockets, sewed in the 2 folds and dyed the shirt.. its as close as i can get to the screen shirt.

like i said before,
the coats can be made, but it would be costly. The shirts, i already got priced, but we have to pay for the one off protypes.

For sure, rocco alone is sculpting like 100 sculpts at once!! Lol

Looks good! It really does look like a brown color, amazing how light changes things.

That might be the way I go when this project is further down the line... he didn't wear his coat in the final showdown with Harmonica.
