But he offered all of those with a set, individually numbered piece. Now, he's really become nothing more than a recaster of him self now. Anyone that knew his work before knew they weren't getting the real thing if it didn't come with paper work. I just think he should have kept his integrity and kept the original edition sizes. For all we know, full figure remakes are next. He's no better than HT now :lol

I don't see a problem with him redoing the heads. I think if it where the outfits also there would be an issue. There's 2 or 3 rainman figures I would love to pick up but I don't think I'd be happy with them being reissued.

I don't understand why there are people getting so upset about Rainman restocking his head sculpts. First of all, it is the FULL set that is limited, NOT the head sculpts! Afterall, it is his work of art and I think it is fair enough if he want to do whatever he want with it.

I don't see an issue, since the sculpts by themselves were never numbered and set to an ES. Clothing sets and fullsets would be a different story, but he has said he will not be offering them for this very reason.

Actually the only thing that has me bothered is are these heads like Tyler and Narrator that come painted, going to be compatible with existing HT head sockets, because the old ones never were and that means you need RM's special shoulder/neck sculpt to attach to a HT body, or would have to still retool a painted head. I wish he would either change the way they fit bodies or start offering his shoulder/neck kits.

Yeah, you might need a custom chest piece to get some of those to work. But you could maybe modify the HT neck plug on existing heads made to go on other necks to fit into the cavity there. I've done that with a sculpt Skiman made neckless for me.

There are a couple schools of thought on this and all of them have good points. But at the end of the day anything he offers with his COA is the true collectors piece. Offering another 20 sculpts
(10 & 10) will by no means saturate the market. And even if you get the sculpt painted to perfection, how would you bash it to look good enough to even be a close second to the initial offering. Like I would love a Bill but even if I got the head, where am I going to get a clothes and acc set that could compare to the original full fig without spending AT LEAST double of what Rainman's originally cost.

You would be surprised about what can be bashed together.
As I'm sure it is no surprise, I'm a huge fight club fan. I didn't know of rainmans work till most of the fight club stuff was sold out.
I managed to get some heads, head and clothes set, and one full set, but my bashed Tyler V1 I do prefer to rainmans original.

Have managed to bash a pretty good bruised narrator outfit too and am just waiting for greggo to work his magic on the sculpt.

Would still like another for an idea I have though!

It all depends on the costume of the character.
Something like Bill would be tricky.

im not bothered about the re releasing, im happy that ppl missing out first time can get them i didnt buy his doc cause it was a limited amount anyway, i just bought one cause i wanted one

Still haven't heard anything from rainman regarding the bruised narrator sculpt.

I would be interested in the "Factory Owner". I love that sculpt but once again like others have said without the outift I don't know if I could complete him anyway. I don't want to spend money on something that may remain incomplete.

Yeah I started to search for certain items to see but no dice. I was looking at jackets from a Joker that would come close but the hat, the walking stick and the vest are so specific. I gave up.

I'm doing a Factory Owner right now -

RM head - painted by me
Joker 89 coat - found 3mm gimp braid to edge the coat - shortened, looking to make a little smaller fit also
Cream pants from DiD bowman
White dress shirt - from HT Scarecrow
Top Hat - Warriors Gate Batman Returns Penguin hat - cut in half and removed about 6mm in the middle and rejoined to make a smaller diameter. Painted Tan and have some flocking to cover it.
Found some ankle high shoes that looked at lot like RM's, but were black - repainted tan

I need to sew a vest - but got fabric printed online by spoonflower - then used a glitter paint pen to highlight the flower stems in the print.
Need to make a walking stick

So almost there, but still a bit of work to do.
