the last time I ask him what he would do with norman's sculpt he said: "i will fix face more for better", but I can't wait to see that only when it ships, is there anyone here more close to rainman to talk for him showing the changes to us before that? after all we are paying for something that we don't know.

It's the way it's always been. If you're not happy then I would suggest simply not buying it.

You could always get a sculpt at the first restock after this has shipped and you've seen the sculpt.

If you're unsure then you could buy a clothing set and wait for pictures of the head sculpt. Then perhaps if enough people are unsatisfied a replacement might be commissioned from another sculptor.

I already paid half of the dx set, I have no regrets so far, I think is a really nice set when you put all together, I'm just curious about the norman's head final product

I don't understand all the doubt about the revised sculpt. Rainman has always done great and, more importantly, high quality work. The fact that he's willing to go back and revise the sculpt AFTER it sold out shows his commitment to producing a great figure. Have a little faith people and chill out.

The likeness isn't always there on his sculpts. His Alex Delarge doesn't really look like McDowell. And to be fair, his Bates sculpt isn't sold out.

Thinking twice about this now. Afraid that the sculpt may not come out the way it should. How long does it take to revised a sculpt?

He said that he would revised when it sold out, maybe he is already working on it, I will repeat his words again:
"Face slimmer after cast.
So i made fatter Norman for it
It was good but somewhere is not.
So i will fix original sculpt after sold all."

On his FB he stated he will revise the whole face. Everything is sold out so he should be starting on it unless someone doesn't pay for their sets.

The sculpt redesign aside, is there anything better than a message from Rainman?

They are more nuanced and impenetrable than the Dalai Lama being quoted while on LSD.

The mother figure looks perfect but it's not just his face that is off the dress he wears as mother did not have a belt and it was darker in color in B&W. The Dracula figure had the correct pattern on the robe. This figure needed some revisions before it was released it's far from being screen accurate.

Yes it has a belt, only in the final scene that it hasn't. This outfit was based on the stair scene I guess, amd I think it is amazing, only the head that needs some change

I don't think Anthony Perkins was in that scene as he wasn't in the shower scene either. So it would logical to have him as he is in the movie at the end since Hitchcock wanted to keep the killer a mystery and if he used Anthony Perkins for those scenes audiences would be able to tell it was him and ruin the plot of the film.

As far as accuracy goes, I think that both Yunsil & Lee took a good bit of artistic license with several things. Some things I think they missed, some things aren’t shown on screen so they winged it, and I guess some things they chose the best balance.

The dress they chose for this set is the one from the shower scene and Norman’s regular outfit is the one from Mother’s reveal scene (but he does wear a white shirt with similar color pants throughout the movie, so it’s hard to tell if they are the same or different with the lack of color). Both outfits are accurate but I get the impression that Norman usually would wear woman’s shoes as seen in the scene with Arbogast, and he only threw the dress over his normal attire because he was in a rush in the cellar scene.

The one time that we see mother’s feet is when Norman is carrying her downstairs, and she appears to have legs with shoes on. That was surely done to keep the secret from the audience, and I guess how much the body would’ve decomposed or have been able to be preserved is debatable. You get the clearest glimpse at her dress in the same scene where he carries her, and while you can’t make out a pattern, it does appear a lot lighter than what they made for this set.

Unless they found some behind the scenes reference, it seems like a few things were embellished and while I’m usually a stickler for accuracy, I’m cool with their choices. Mother’s skeletal feet make for a cooler piece, and I’m not too bothered by throwing the shower scene dress over the cellar scene outfit instead of giving him woman’s shoes. What I am mainly concerned about is the sculpt and how much of a tweak it’s going to get. I do also think that his blazer/jacket thing should be included to improve the regular outfit, and the forearms & pegs should be painted. A little concerned with the fit of the regular outfit since we only have one standing upright full body pic, and he’s got the dress mostly covering it. It looks like the pants are properly sitting high above the waist, but I’d love to get a better look to see if it has that classic ‘50s cut. Those are the main things holding me back from completing my order.

Anyone been in touch with him about any of this? Any info?

He never takes the white shirt off it's just covered through most of the movie. He wears it when he meets Marion but he's also wearing his tan jacket over it all the way to him cleaning up after the shower scene. Then we see him again when Arbogast comes to the motel asking questions and he's wearing with a black turtleneck over it all the way to when he carries mother down to the fruit cellar. The first time we see Norman during the day he's wearing just the white shirt to the end of the film.

There is no behind the scene reference of what Mother was wearing or any photos of the prop corpse. Hitchcock kept a tight lip on the filming of PSYCHO. He didn't even want photos taken of them filming. He didn't want anything to get leak out to the press and spoil the twist ending he wanted to keep the audience guessing.
