I would prefer norman's iconic creepy smile as expression but that's just a slight hope...

There is no behind the scene reference of what Mother was wearing or any photos of the prop corpse. Hitchcock kept a tight lip on the filming of PSYCHO. He didn't even want photos taken of them filming. He didn't want anything to get leak out to the press and spoil the twist ending he wanted to keep the audience guessing.

He never takes the white shirt off it's just covered through most of the movie. He wears it when he meets Marion but he's also wearing his tan jacket over it all the way to him cleaning up after the shower scene. Then we see him again when Arbogast comes to the motel asking questions and he's wearing with a black turtleneck over it all the way to when he carries mother down to the fruit cellar. The first time we see Norman during the day he's wearing just the white shirt to the end of the film.

Interesting about Hitchcock keeping everything under tight wraps. That explains why there's really nothing to be found on the internet.

The B&W makes it tricky to pinpoint what some of these colors really were at a glance, but the more you look at it the more you can see the differences.

Between the first and last outfits, it's hard to tell if the pants are different or the same, but either way it's close enough not to make a difference. The first shirt seems to be beige while the last one is clearly white though.

I think the first outfit would've been a better choice, not just for a better looking figure, but I think a more relevant outfit on screen. It's what he's wearing from his introduction up until the shower scene. And with that outfit he wouldn't have had to worry about painting the forearms & pegs.

Still mulling all of this over. Have one more day to decide...

You should go for it, this will be a masterpiece after correction, and price will go high on this figure in the future, this is a certain buy if you ate a psycho fan

The first outfit (with the blazer) would definitely make more sense. Plus the revised sculpt with the likeness of perkins and the set would be perfect.

I feel you're being a bit naive there. If you're holding out for there being a big difference between what you've seen and what you're actually going to end up receiving then I'm afraid you are likely to be disappointed. Whilst there may well be some refinement or little tweaks, wholesale changes or "corrections" righting all wrongs aren't going to happen. You're clearly better off basing any decision to purchase on the actual product that has already been shown, rather than pinning your hopes on some perfectly reworked little Perkins clone popping out of the box when it turns up at your door. Purchasing in the anticipation of the aftermarket price sky rocketing could similarly be seen as getting way ahead of yourself, given the lack of buzz and lukewarm reception this release has received thus far.

I do agree that if you've always been a big fan of the film or the character, and can see past the slight inaccuracies and shortfall in likeness, then you should probably pick this one up as it's likely to be the best representation of Psycho in 1/6 form we're going to get....perhaps the only one, as properties from knocking on nearly sixty years ago aren't exactly the norm. Err...ok, so this one is the Norm (and Norma)....but you know what I mean (and the 'not exactly' part still applies, but it's near enough for my needs).

I decided to go for it on that basis alone, but I'm not expecting to receive anything other than what was advertised and what (at the end of the day) I paid for.

You're right, sir... I'm not expecting a big change on this, but I think the set together (norman "mother version" + mother) is already a masterpiece and will not have better 1/6 figure of psycho, as a big fan of this movie I couldn't pass this set.
My humble opinion about this project:
Mother: Better impossible
Norman "mother": looks great but could be better
Norman "normal": looks off, but I pretend to expose it only in the mother version,
and I am really satisfied with the yunsil outfit, but of course I agree with you guys that he could add a jacket to norman,
Everything together, as it is, for me is already a nice representation , any changes will be a "bonus"
but again this is a opinion of a "die hard" psycho fan

I keep revisiting the pics and I'm still torn. He looks great in mother mode but I'm having a hard time with the simplicity of the regular outfit. I know I'd bounce between both looks so they're equally important to me. If he said that he'd include the jacket, or at least confirm that he'll paint the arms, I'd probably go a head and pull the trigger, even though I really don't like the idea of not knowing just how much he's tweaking the sculpt.

Someone mentioned that he was redoing the whole face, but the way I interpreted his words that were posted here, it sounds like he feels that it came out too thin after casting and he will make it "fatter". Like ishothimsixtimes said, he hasn't been known to do any major overhaul to sculpts in the past. The most drastic that I remember is when he changed the hair and Anton, Vince and Danny. The only face tweak I remember was to Jules and it was pretty minor. Then again I heard that he got a lot of flack on FB, so maybe he's going to go above and beyond what he's normally do. I wish there was more solid info to make a decision on

He said that the face is "fatter" and he will make more thin, about painting the forearms I can't see any reason for him to not do it...

Regrettably , I might have to let both my mother and Maybe my Murderer set go .
If anyone is interested , please pm me
for details

I ended up cancelling my set a few days ago. Just not seeing enough likeness here and I doubt there will be much if any changes made. Has there really been any changes post pre-order with Rainman, the only sculpt changes I recall was when he was showing WIP pics and the community had a chance to give input. And since the PO was the first time seeing Norman, there was no opportunity to really do so.

Yep, my sets are fully paid. I am having car trouble and that is the only reason I am thinking of selling to pay for repairs. Back to the set,
I actually think Mother and Norman is perfect and would not want Lee to change his artistic perception of the character . In this scale, no one
will be able to touch Mother . I am displaying Norman in his drag look
And will never have him in civilian clothes to be honest .

It definitely seems to be. :)

Considering how concerned he was about the face being too 'fat', I just find it odd that he didn't post a front on shot. Maybe he'll post one in the next few days or so...
