The curve on the lower part of the helmet looks off at the back. The shield on the top of the helmet is also the wrong shape. I can provide more ref pics if required ? I agree with Seb the helmet also looks too rounded. The cylindtrical shape is to me more accurate.

my comment would be the X on the visor has to be lower

The "legs" on the X seem to be too thin or too long ?


I'm not knocking the sculpt- far from it. But I'd like it to look as good as possible as I'm sure we all do.

:goodpost::exactly: I agree, I wasn't trying to pick the sculpt apart by posting the comparison but it does show you how off the shape is, the badge, the visor etc.

The overall shape was close on the 2nd version Rocco did but this change seems to have made it more round which seems to have squidged (technical term) the badge up.

Anyone having much success with their chest armour ? Still undecided on how to proceed with this. I quite like Seb's idea , but would like to have the recesses and details on it.

Haven't even started mine yet :lol I have a few ideas but not sure if they will work yet, spent about $50 on parts just for the best alone as I wanted to try a few different things.

I started to work on the chest armor. I'm 3d modeling it right now and I'm gonna see how it looks printed.

I'll print them out and see how they turn out. I'm going to just print a paper set out to scale and see what you guys think about the size I've sized the badge hole to fit cbobs badge.

I'm also going to start on the back armor as well.

Awesome! If you do end up selling casts i'll be down for a set, will make the vest much easier to manage!

AWESOME ! Are you planning to add any texture or the extra surrounding parts that are sewn to the flak vest ? I'd definately be in for a set of these and the back armour - assuming that you will be offfering any of course.

My only change to the shape would be to taper the lower armour, the bottom oblong / rectangle shape is smaller than the top .
