Re: RORY'S MODS: JOKER 2.0 REMOD/Museum '89 Joker/TOD Indy/BD Luke)

Will there be another run of the joker?

Don't want to pressure you Rory, but any ETA on the Joker heads? Your recent photos have whetted my appetite!

No worries man, I know I'm behind schedule! Pressure, what pressure?!?! :lol
Here is where I am. Heads are completely painted (as you have seen) 18 of them are fully haired and 3 of them are partial haired.
I'm pressing the last of the coats at the weekend and weathering next week.

Hope that helps, and I really do appreciate the patience. I could have done it quicker, but didn't want to, if you know what I mean?
It's been a learning curve for me to be honest. When I do one of these (or any heavy mod) I don't notice how much time I actually put into
it. But the back of the work is well broken now. Everything nearing completion. I'm trying to figure out the best way to ship them, I want to keep the jackets flat
so I may cut out some card body shapes and press them, so they don't get crumpled in transit, also working on how to wrap the heads so as not to un-futz the hair.

You could use foam like Rainman does - But slice it in half so it separates once it's out of the box as comapred to wedging the head out. That way it doesn't get unfutzed.

You can always use those little white balls they use for packing material (not the potato chips looking stuff). They are also use in seats etc. Those would work best but are a little expensive...

Re: RORY'S MODS: JOKER 2.0 REMOD/Museum '89 Joker/TOD Indy/BD Luke)

To ship the heads, I think loose toilet paper wrapped very loose at first then tighter toward the end. I know it will move the hair slightly, but for the most part shoul keep them with minimum futzing out of the box. When Johnny sent out the oldboy heads, he used a post, and stuck the on that. Unfortunately many came off the post in transit, because of the gap above the head. If you did do a post then the gap above the head would have to be very small, this way if the head came off the post, it would just move around a little and not bang around in the box. Hope this helps.

Coats, I dunno. I'm thinking between 2 flat pieces of cardboard, with a layer of foam in between.

Heads, Joker hair's pretty slicked back. Glad wrap, from front to back? Then the usual bubblewrap?

Re: RORY'S MODS: JOKER 2.0 REMOD/Museum '89 Joker/TOD Indy/BD Luke)

The easiest solution would be hand delivery.

It would be pretty easy, since for most of the flight you could put the head on the tray table - you'd only have to hold it during takeoff and landing, and through the airport.

I'll sweeten the deal - I'm planning on laying down some jigsaw puzzle-esque padding in my basement for working out. If you want to sleep on it, you'd save a decent chunk of change on hotel fare for my delivery.

After Joker and all other current orders are cleared (shortly, getting there) I will open up 3 things.
(A) small 2nd run on jokers, no more than 10, (b) even smaller run on Scissorhands, no more that 5 (most work involved) and (c) Crow (10) and that will be me done with commissions for a while.
