So I figured since I'm referring to this sculpt I'd ask this here. Maybe I'm just out of touch with pricing for a paint/hair app but is $1000 kind of excessively expensive for this??! I mean, i KNOW it is, but it was coming from a source who's done many very nice versions of this Joker - so SOMEONE is paying this! :dunno

I was quoted $750 a month or so ago by a very respected and talented artist who has done a lot of jokers.

I was quoted $750 a month or so ago by a very respected and talented artist who has done a lot of jokers.

Dont want to step on anyone's shoes, but I have done some hair work to 15 Jokers already, tiring task, but I never charged that amount for it.

I still commission hair work and for that I charge $140+shipping

Sorry but that is ridiculous! No offense to that painter whoever he is. $1000?? What is he smoking?

I was quoted by 3 different painters-

I went with T-Squared because he is THAT GOOD. And he is my painter that I prefer to go to anyway. The reason I asked KJun and Kwok is because I was curious how much they'd charge per sculpt and some people were gushing about them. I wanted to see what's the big deal is and I don't see it. T-Squared's work is just as damn good or, in my opinion, better than their work.

Bottom line the price quotes for painting services from some of them are just utterly ridiculous!

Hair will be added in the future, I think. I've got 3 other sculpts with him that need hair and paint, so I wanted this one back ASAP. Once his schedule clears a bit, I'll probably send it back. I'm picky about the color and look of his hair. I specifically asked for the brown roots and whatnot to be painted.
