Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

I'll look up the clothes company. But I would be interested in the normal clothes since I didn't want the battle damaged look.

I was thinking that we should be offering a full Normal outfit as as well, sans the undergarment and boots. Just lemme know what all of you think.

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

I might be interested in jeans and top depending on pricing

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

^I'll add you to the "Normal" clothing list in the mean time.

Clothing lists have been updated :duff.

If the boots are going to be quality and accurate for the battle damaged version then it would be nice to get a price for the full normal costume and the cheap price without boots. I guess the undergarment you are talking about is her purple bra? I assume that won't be with the battle damaged version. I never considered looking up 1/6 scale bras before...

It all depends on the price of this still. I'm dealing with a bunch of stuff. Hopefully this project is still a ways off.

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

So is this a go or still planning? ETA on WIPs? Assuming 2-part sculpt means endo piece is separate. I'll take it that way. Interested in at least one outfit (battle damaged). Maybe the other depending on how it comes out and cost.

Yeah, the purple bra and Normal boots won't be part of the proposed normal outfit. As for the price, I hope we get a quote from Sean's tailor soon as I've been told they're intending to start working on a prototype BD outfit.

Since Sean is currently working with a tailor on the BD outfit plus he just asked me to email him the Endo pics, I guess it's safe to say that this project is moving along nicely. The 2-part sculpt means that the sculpted hair is detachable to incorporate a wig should you desire to customized her to have wigged hair, so far I've not yet received word if Sean could offer a separate wig since they're pretty pricey.

If you're interested in the BD outfit you can reply here to have Solidus put you on the list, as no one is considered committed until the price is up.

Another thing I was suggested by Brent was that it's entirely possible to do a semi-BD with the regular sculpt as Cameron did ran around with some minimal BD in the series, and he's interested to paint up the normal sculpt to achieve that. Here's a look at the Normal, BD and semi-BD look:

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

Personally, I'd like a fully battle-damaged head-sculpt. Have Cameron look like a true Terminator - "living tissue over metal endoskeleton". If I want her dolled-up, the regular head-sculpt will more than suffice.

I'm cool with whatever Brent thinks is more appropriate, though.

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

My idea was just that, for my own personal collection, I'm going to paint both of my heads to be battle damaged, even the "non-battle damaged" head. (I'm not going to let a little thing like it not being battle damaged stop me!) And going through my reference photos I realized that the promo outfit really just needs a black top to work as her battle damaged look.

I will paint up people's "non-battle damaged" heads however they want, of course. I expect most people will prefer their heads to "normal." I wouldn't want to surprise someone with battle damage.

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

Interested in painting this one up at some point Sean. Quick shots of Trevs I painted that I came across.

I know you will knock this one out of the park. Im interested in seeing how that BD version turns out.

That sounds great, Brent! I've been thinking, I might want to have little bit of "battle damage" on the normal head, as well. I have the DX 13 and it comes with two head-sculpts: one with slight damage, and the other with heavy damage. Personally, I think it would be cool if the Cameron head-sculpts can be like that, too.

Yeah, Trevor did nice work with his head-sculpts years back, and that's a pretty good paint job, too. Would you like me to put you on the commission list for an unpainted BD head-sculpt?

Yeah, that was probably my inspiration. In fact if I could find a pair of sunglasses that fits the normal head that hints at even more damage and harkens back to the first Terminator film, I would go that route.

Here are a few battle-damage paint schemes I've come across...

I like how the middle pic shows upper chest damage. I figure that might be doable on a Phicen or Hot Toys body if I paint the torso so that the damage fits "in" the paint job instead of floating on top. And notice how the lower couple have staples holding her cheek together. So many possibilities...

Yeah sure I would be willing to paint a handful of these for whoever would be interested.

Can't wait to see paint ups by both of you guys!!

We already have a painter lined up, (ahem), he was asking if you wanted to buy one for yor personal collection.

I don't see why we can't let people decide who they would like to use - each painter offers their own strengths and styles so it really comes down to customer preference !

Sean, I think you must have read my post wrong. As I said when my help was asked for in this initial offering, I don't care who paints the unpainted heads you sell and I would never want to force my services on anyone. I was asked to do the painting chores for people who wanted your heads painted and I stepped up; additionally, offering to do them at a discount. But when Solidus asked Small Studios if he wanted to buy a head from you for himself, "Would you like me to put you on the commission list for an unpainted BD head-sculpt?" Small Studios replied as if he was just offered a portion of the painting duties for the heads sold as "painted" through this thread. I just wanted to clarify, very gently, that all Solidus was asking Small Studios was if he wanted to buy a head for himself.

There are a number of painters on this board that many people here are familiar with who would do an excellent job of painting and they all have their own unique techniques and work in a variety of mediums and I'm sure a lot of people have their favorites and established relationships. And there are a great number of people here fully capable of painting their own and making it look just as good as anything as any of the pro-painters on this board can do! And that's great. Diversity is great. I would never try to damper that. If people like pastels, they should find a painter who excels in pastels. If they like oil, find a painter that works in oil. If someone has a guy, they should use their guy. If they like what I do, use me. If they don't like me, don't use me. Couldn't care less. So, yes, people can and should decide who they like to use!

Re: Terminator: TSCC - Cameron (Summer Glau) Normal/Battle Damaged headsculpts [sdabb

I agree with Sean and Brent.

Since this is my first time ever heading an international collaboration (I'm in Asia) and I've never done anything remotely similar to this, I'm really learning the ropes here but I what I am certain is that I have absolute faith in 3 guys who I have came to known well over time, namely Solidus, Sean and Brent.

I'll make it clear that other painters are certainly welcomed with open arms, but you'll have to be contacted by the buyer who chooses your services themselves. Solidus and I can certainly update the list to accommodate other painters in the opening post, just send me a PM of how put your contact details and I'll be happy to add your name on a external painter list. :duff

Brent is absolutely correct :lecture.

And it was mentioned in the opening post, Brent's our painter for this project. But, if anyone would like to use a different painter (which is absolutely fine, as Sean mentioned), then please let me know and I'll add you on the list for an unpainted head! So, in other words, if you don't want to use Brent's services, you'll have to find a painter yourself.

Thanks for the kind word man :duff. Erm, I guess we can do that, although I'm kind of hesitant.

It's my first time taking part in a commission like this, too. But, I'm not sure how it'll work out if we have different guys listed in the first page. The last thing I'd want, is for people to start arguing in the thread about which painter is better :slap.
