The tailor had to leave town for a while due to the virus but they will be back in two days and can discuss the fabric then.

Here is a WIP of a painted button. It looks a bit gritty in the picture due to the gun metal grey paint but in person its smooth.

Here is a test print for Phoenix joker buttons.

The tailor is going to order the prototype in this shade of Purple.

They said in person it is much darker than the Yunsil coat but they think it should be darker and I agree. The reason it's not going to be darker is because the entire Yunsil set is lighter than it should be and the shades would clash. Another reason is because this is just the proto and the final product can be darker if this is not enough.

They're concerned about industries closing down and their access to the fabric may unfortunately be delayed.

(Tailor wont be announced yet)

(This is just a colour match and its actually darker in person (not the final fabric!))

I think the quantity has increased, so can I get it this year if I buy it like I wrote it down for the first time? :)

Me and the tailor have discussed this. It definitely looks large on Ledger in the movie.

Exactly. The Hot Toy one is larger (due to mass production) but then lose the shape of the coat. I have no knowledge about tailoring but this must be a challenge for this coat in one sixth scale...

The tailors should only have to slightly increase the pattern size.

Small update:

The tailor still hasnt received the fabric yet. Hopefully by next week they should have it and be working on the coat.

The curvature of the button surface was too large on the first test. I slightly re-designed it and have printed off a new one. It is shown primed without silver paint in the picture below:

May be some way to strengthen the shoulder. May be the way Enterbay did with MIB suits years ago? I don’t know. Just my two cents.
I'm not aware of that, how did they strengthen them? These coats will definitely have padded shoulders to be movie accurate.

They used thin plastic films instead of foam as shoulder paddings. Anyway, you can alway custom this on your own to better fit the body you are using. Or the tailor could have his own idea since the Joker coat doesn’t look like normal suits. The shoulder and upper back may need some work or new way of padding IMO.
