The only problem with Laney's is that it is very scene specific, and I'm not sure we'll get anyone to do that outfit at all. As such, I wonder about how popular it would be. I'll put it in a poll though and we'll see. I'll let people take multiple votes in the poll.

And I do hope folks take advantage of this opportunity to have some input into what Rocco may do. It isn't often boardies have this chance with such a talented sculptor to do a fairly niche character without paying a small fortune to commission it. No up-front commitments required here, just your thoughts and time to post. The Dude deserves it :) And if Moe is really going through with at least 3 outfits, it seems those of us getting more than one could really benefit from having another option apart from Rainman (as great as it is). At least in my case, I wouldn't want figures of the same character with 3 outfits and the same sculpt on each one.

That is a fair point I suppose. Either way, I'm just glad that I will be able to have The Dude relaxing in my cabinet soon enough haha :yess:

Can't wait to see this... I would like anything he looks like when he wore the Sweater PJ set

Are you doing another clothing run besides the ones going on now that are wait listed?

This sculpt needs a point of difference from Rainman's or else there is little point in it, beyond just more hair. This needs to be hair tied back for suit the jumpsuit look. Moe has already stated that if Rocco came on board he would do the jump suit.

This one is just Rainman's look with the eyes looking to the side (and mouth open a fraction)

I really disagree. Rainman's sculpt looks stern and focused, which really. . .is pretty un-Dude:

While I love the Rainman sculpt, I would like a Dude on the shelf that doesn't look like he's about to go into battle or make a decision on whether or not to send a man to the electric chair. That picture you post does not look like he's doing those things. The huge smiley look was from a dream sequence, and would be fitting for that outfit of course, but wouldn't fit anywhere else. It would probably only sell to a handful of folks who wanted that specific outfit (assuming Moe even makes it). If you get a less scene specific look, but one more representative of the Dude's personality, then it would work with multiple outfits and would have an appeal that the Rainman sculpt doesn't have.

Great points.

for those of us that didn't get a rainman dude or get on moe's outfit lists before it closed, is there going to be any other outfits made besides the sleeveless maintenance man look that's been mentioned. i'm kind of assuming that moe's outfits that are already spoken for are mainly for people that already have a rainman dude that want a different look.
i would be totally fine with the maintenance guy look myself but just curious if anything else was in the works.
and sculpt wise it would be nice to have something other than a serious or stern look.........something happy.......or laid back content.....:)

Speaking of happy/laid back and content, I think this kind of expression would be great, and may be a compromise between what Laney is looking for and something that would have broader appeal:

As for the outfits, from what I can infer, these are going to be pretty expensive. There are currently filled lists, but I think more than a couple folks are gonna drop off when it comes time to pay. So, you may want to get on the waiting lists and see what happens. Clothing was the trickiest part about doing a Dude custom, which is why Moe's threads are really nice to see. Also, Moe has done multiple runs of outfits in the past, so I'm not positive that the limited runs he is currently working out are going to be it.

thanks k...............good to know.
will look over moe's clothing list again & try to make a descision but honestly the maintenance guy look would be cool as hell............:peace
