UPDATE: We will only be going forward with 35 set commitment (deposits) I'll leave this open through 6/15 and evaluate then, but rest assured that if you put a deposit down and we don't hit a minimum of 35 sets, you will get your full deposit back (just did this for a Joker run).

As an example, there is currently a Tony Stark suit set run (Jacket, Shirt, Pants, Tie, belt) from Yunsil for $445 (with 35-40 sets).

So this set, with a very detailed custom printed shirt (which was a lot of trouble to get right the last time), pants, belt, jacket (with a working zipper, unlike the Stark suit), and fat suit at $425 for 40 is not unreasonable from Yunsil at this point.

Please don't just comment with "wow, that's a lot more than it was the first time!" - if you're out, tell me and I will remove you from the list and we can find out if we're going forward with this. The more people, the less it is though. The people who are sending in deposits would like to know what they're going to potentially pay and if we'll go forward.

This is the second run I've started in the last year. I had to cancel the first one for lack of payments. There has been a lot of interest in this and I get asked if I have any more sets constantly. I'm not sure what's happening on this forum. Whether it's people new to customs who are dipping their toe in with interest and then finding out that a Yunsil set costs $400 -$500 or if it's just the current economic situations around the world.

Everyone was happy with the first run of this set and I think I did a good job of managing it, but I can't spend a lot of time chasing people down to see if they're still interested and coordinating payments for "next week", "next month", "a week from Tuesday", etc. It's $150 and you won't have to pay the balance (max $295 + shipping) for likely a year the way the Yunsil runs are going.
Too many newbies hate to say. Great set though and glad to be in that first run.

I'm definitely not a newbie, so I hope that comment was directed towards me. Most of my collection is custom and expensive. But the cost of just a clothing set here has gotten insane.

If you have people jumping on interest lists and then not commiting to the runs, then yes it will be expensive. Got to have the numbers to get it at the price you want. But then you know that since most of your collection is custom and expensive.

I absolutely know that. And I don't talk out of my ass. When i have interest in a piece I send my deposit. I'm sure you didn't spend 700 on the outfit when you got it in the first run, because it wasn't that price then... Wise ass.

I don't think this was directed at you, Tony?

There are a lot of people new to these boards, and I'm not sure if many of them know what a Yunsil set costs when there are a lot of people in the run, let alone the cost of a short run.

Prices have gone up as you'd expect, but I think this set was under-estimated by Yunsil in the first place due to the complexity of the shirt.

I'd appreciate some kind of update, so we know what's happening with our money .

I'm keeping you updated - the list on the front page is up to date. I will reach out AGAIN to everyone who still hasn't responded or sent a deposit. But people who are in have to make a choice to go forward at a higher price, or I'll refund everyone and we'll try again some other time.

I can't do more than what we all originally spoke about. If the price is a run for 15 people, I'm out. Can't do it.

I personally think prior to whats happening in the world people could afford it but that has halted peoples commitment to this, id still be interested but depending on how much more the cost will be, or rescheduling this to a later date when all this has settled. Just my opinion

OK, I think it's time to call this wacked for now. We can try again maybe later this year or early 2021. I'm not seeing any movement on deposits or activity here. I'll start refunding people tomorrow.

Pretty unfortunate and bad timing, thanks for trying. Ill keep an eye out for the future

Guys sad to see this one not worked out.

Ironically it looks like Stark, Wayne, Joker are still in hot demand . The virus has not affected
those runs apparently

I cant believe all the interest this had and only 7 people sending in deposits... Horrible..

Sucks that this died on you Trev. It's a nice set and am glad to have it. I wonder if you did a different look it would sell better? Or maybe a look without the jacket, which is pricey? I think what changed lately is the wait times are now insanely long, and that's after you paid. So, people can have over $1000 of spent cash, and waiting a year to receive product. Maybe people feel shaky about keep adding to that number of outstanding product? The pandemic is hurting everyones pocket. Also, the delays and lack of updates are crazy..it's months past an already long production time deadline. I know I hate to keep shelling out more cash without rewards of it, especially over a year+. Suppose it's good that the hobby is growing...but there is downside. I suppose handcrafted material just takes a ton of time. good luck with it. Hopefully it picks up steam.

I think this is a great idea. Maybe a different look without the jacket may work well!

The thing is though guys if you do that your wait time is even longer, the quickest turnaround is actually a rerun.

there is something flawed about the way Yunsil handles money. she needs to change to a direct payment system like Iris. There is too much risk forking money over to the run owner who can sit around waiting for people dragging their ass to settle up pn their deposit for a year before Yunsil is even given the green light to start production.

Everyone is at the mercy of the run owner (in this case it's truly a non issue as comatoast is one of the best guys in the community) or at eachother.

I will be interested in this run later on, as well, even if the price is higher. ? Hope we can get people on board later.

Yeah man hopefully we can get this off the ground later sometime! I’m still heavy interested in the project! So hopefully some day it would get done ☹️
