Just an update, I don't think the magnets are going to be feasible, at least on my end. There is a video i've seen that has one floating and I have no ****ing glue how he did it. The magnets I have are too resistant to each other in that they repel each other until they attach. The only thing I can think of is that there is a big magnetic base that is repelling little magnets. And another thing is, the hoverboard in that video is literally made out of cardboard, so that might have something to do with it.

That being said, the strap is CONFIRMED.

Additionally, we will be brainstorming some other display options. Maybe a spring or something? Thoughts/ideas are welcome.

ADDITIONALLY ADDITIONALLY, the final boards will be thinner than the prototype, bringing it to the more accurate size.

would a small magnet in the circle be strong enough? magnet through the glass of a detolf maybe?

I'm going to try to figure it out for you folks that want it.

Now, as I'm sure you've seen, HT unveiled their future Marty. I'm not going to be a prick and not offer refunds because of course I am. My only thoughts are that a)they won't license mattel and b) we're looking at a year or two away.

If anyone who has paid wants a refund, I'll understand, but you guys know me and the work we do, so I hope you'll stick with me.

Plus, doesn't everyone need 2 hoverboards for Marty? :lol

I think we have it so they'll float. Additionally, for sticking with us, everyone getting the hoverboard is getting a bonus item as well.

And not to disparage HT, but let's not forget that Ripley had the pending licencor approval last year, and that's nowhere to be seen.

If we do have a magnetic option, there will be an additional charge but we need to work that out still.
