I just looked through this thread and my mind is blown by this project. I love how much work was put into the sculpt to get it to where it is now. Great job running this project and big props to JOA for going back and revisiting a sculpt so many times.

yeah, a big thanks to Joa for patiently doing numerous revisions to get the sculpt to how it is today.

I am arranging to get a sample painted sculpt soon!

I received a painted sample of sculpt last week, but it still needs adjustments/improvements.


SculptorJoa agreed that painted sample still can be improved, so I made my suggestions to Joa.
We are working to get the sculpt where we want it to be.
Sorry for the delay folks.
We all know that the Bale likeness is difficult to get right, so we are taking it one step at a time.



in the meantime, DoggieDoc updated me last week on a great new accessory for the set: the stethoscope and case that belong to Bruce’s father.

Joa said it will be at least a week to do all the changes.
Then, I’ll try to get a test print done as quickly as possible. And hopefully get a sample painted quickly too

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about seeing the sculpt painted. This is such an awesome and welcome departure from the run-of-the-mill Bale Bruce Waynes.

thanks @BigWayne, I’m also excited to get the sculpt 100% and see it painted.
It’s been a long process, but we are working hard to get it right.

UPDATE:
Geewhiz has completed the leather messenger bag prototype:

price for the leather messenger bag is $195.

realistically, we will need most people interested to purchase the bag (at least 11-12 people) in order to make them.

I will not pay to make 15 expensive bags if only 4 people will buy them.

Geewhiz will not make less than the 15 bags. Those are his terms to proceed with the commission.


So let me know if you will be interested in buying the bag.

I will need to take a count of who is interested

If everyone can decide by the end of the week, it will be best.
I don’t want to keep Geewhiz waiting too long.

Once we get over 10 definitely interested, I will ask for a small deposit.

I messaged Geewhiz to delay any decision on the bags a few weeks, in case we can get a few more interests

I ask Geewhiz if we can do 10 total bags. He say yes, but price per bag will increase $50.

other option is to cancel the bags. It’s up to you in the group.

also, I received a message from Joa last Thurs or Fri that she had covid.
Consequently, she said there may be a delay on the sculpt modifications.

so far I have not heard from Joa this week.
We hope she is recovering well, that is most important.

as soon as I hear from Joa, I will let the group know.
